Posted by Ashley | April 21, 2013 | Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy law firm that actually helped me.

I went to the Orlando branch of Mr. Collier's office to file a chapter 13 bankruptcy to save my house and get a loan modification. I was greeted by Attorney Dax Miller who simplified my issues and explained exactly how I could save my, the risks involved, and how much it would cost. I was surprised... to learn that Mr. Collier's firm will agree to put the majority of the attorney's fees inside the bankruptcy. This meant that I could get my case filed for very little. I guess my only complaint is that it usually takes about a day or so before I get a call back if I have questions BUT any time I have ever emailed, I have gotten a response within about 2 hours (unless I emailed at midnight but that is rare!). Full disclosure: I spoke to three other firms before stumbling across Mr. Collier's web page and they all wanted to charge $4,500.00. One wanted $3,000.00 up front. One wanted $1,400.00 up front. Mr. Collier's firm charged me less than about half of that last one then the rest of the fee could be put inside the chapter 13 and paid over the next couple of years. Mr. Miller was able to meet with me immediately after our phone consultation and our appointment probably took about an hour and a half. He was able to have me filed about two days later and we were in our loan modification mediation within the next two months or so. I couldn't believe how easy the whole process was. The bottom line is - bankruptcy is a difficult decision to begin with. You need to do your own research and be your own advocate. I would do like I did and research at least 4 or 5 firms before making a decision because you want someone you can afford but you also want a good match. I was very, very happy with Mr. Collier's firm and the way that Mr. Miller has handled my case thus far and would strongly recommend this law firm.
