Max Story

Mr. Story is the managing partner at Story Griffin, Attorneys at Law (AKA Max Hunter Story, PA - Consumer Justice Law Firm) and is dedicated to serving clients throughout the state of Florida.

He is a native Floridian, who graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School, was a National Merit Scholar at Rollins College, Winter Park and has lived in Jacksonville with his wife and children since graduating with honors from UF College of Law in 2001.

Graduating in the top of his class at the University of Florida, College of Law, Mr. Story served as Editor on two respected law reviews, as a judicial clerk in Florida's Eighth Judicial Circuit and taught at Santa Fe College, Gainesville.

Max Story is a nationally recognized top consumer protection attorney and serves in leadership roles with the Florida Bar, the Consumer Protection Law Committee and is the Florida Co-Chair of the National Association of Consumer Advocates. He has also served on the Board of Community Legal Services of Mid Florida. 

Max Story has been appointed class counsel in numerous consumer class actions.  He has also lectured at various CLE conferences, including the 2021 Florida Bar Annual Conference, the 2016 Florida Bar Annual Conference; the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association 23rd Annual Conference; National Consumer Law Center Conventions; and has testified before the Florida Senate Finance committee on important consumer issues.

He has received multiple six figure settlements in consumer law and in personal injury cases.

Active in the community, he has chaired or served on many boards including the Beaches Resource Center Oversight Committee (a full service schools program), Sierra Club Executive Committee, Cummer Museum Young Executives' Committee and University Club Business Alliance. He also volunteers as a recreational coach for Jacksonville First Coast Soccer.
