Biography
Michael Brown is an Athens, Ga., native. He attended Cedar Shoals High School and graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Management. A three-year letterman on the Bulldogs’ football team, Michael received numerous athletic and academic awards including the College Hall of Fame Academic Award. Michael graduated from the Georgia State University College of Law and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1993. He went on to work with several of the best litigators and family law attorneys in Athens and around the state of Georgia. He served as president and general counsel of a top international investment management firm, where he was directly responsible for negotiating thousands of multi-million dollar financial transactions. His experience as an Athens divorce attorney and business owner makes him uniquely qualified to handle your legal problems as well as the business issues that often accompany them. Michael has more than 25 years of experience and knowledge in the areas of family law, criminal law and personal injury and has represented hundreds of clients throughout northeastern Georgia. He is also a registered domestic relations mediator. Every action he takes is intended to move his client's case to a successful, final resolution, whether it requires aggressive negotiation or aggressive litigation to obtain the desired results.
