We hired Marcy to handle my husband's Modification of Child Support & Visitation Case. She is one of the most professional attorney's that we've ever worked with. She is extremely efficient, well-versed, and will exceed your expectations.

Unfortunately, I have been in several litigations with my son's father since 2001. Marcy has been my attorney from 2003 to current for two modifications and a motion for contempt and I would highly recommend her to anyone going through family, divorce, legitimation, or custody litigation.
*Knowledge- in all three of my cases, it was clear she was more knowledgeable, than opposing counsel, of the law and the DETAILS of the case. I always felt like we had the ‘upper hand’ because she was well versed on the details, thus catching inconsistent testimony or false statements during the trials. As stressful as these situations were, her retention and attention to detail was very big deal to me.
*Personal Conscience - this is one quality I have always appreciated about Marcy. The advice she has given me, I feel is the same she would give a family member. She knows the system, courts, judges well enough to know what is in your favor and what is not and she will never lead you astray for the sake of making money. My experience is that she is a very honest and trustworthy attorney.
* Professionalism – She is a highly respected trial attorney and it is evident in the level of respect she garners from other attorneys, judges, etc… I’ve always appreciated her court demeanor and respect towards the court, judges, opposing counsel and party. She is a very organized, detailed, submits documents in a timely manner. She always responded to me in a timely manner. At times, when she was tied up on court or for personal matters, her staff was prompt in letting me know when she would be able to get back to me and always she did.
*Professional Trail Lawyer – Best said, I would rather be sitting beside Marcy at court than sitting across from her. She is a bulldog – my first thought seeing her cross examine someone for the first time. Litigation and trials were stressful to me regardless of how strong I thought my case was. Part of my 'calming down' process was to remind myself of the person representing me - Marcy Hanks. Even when up against a team of attorneys in 2014, Marcy was the standout during litigation and I went home very pleased with the outcome.

I hired Marcy Hanks last year in hopes to be awarded equal time and rights with my son. I am a dad and being awarded equal time and rights seemed farfetched considering gender biases in my area. As time progressed, I began to receive more time and rights that increased my morale and confidence; my hopes became a reality. Marcy is the quintessence of legal professionalism. She fought for what was not only in the best interest for me, but also my son. In the end, I was awarded primary physical custody and I am forever grateful for Marcy and her work. She is a hero; the “Real Wonder Woman” who fights for justice and gender equality.

Marcy is widely known as the go-to lawyer in the region for divorce and separation and family law matters. She is bright, friendly and professional. I refer clients to her on a regular basis and they are always extremely glad I did. The highest endorsement I can give her is that when I needed family law services for one of my children, Marcy was the first call I made. If you need help in this area, calling Marcy will be the best move you can make.
