Biography
Samuel E. Thomas is a dedicated family law and immigration attorney serving clients throughout Georgia and Tennessee. A lifelong Athens, Georgia resident, Samuel brings a fourth-generation small business owner's commitment and work ethic to every case he handles.
Samuel earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia in 2010 and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2012. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in June 2013 and to the Tennessee Bar in 2020. He is admitted to practice before all State and Superior Courts in Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
A recognized leader in family law, Samuel has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star and earned Best of the Best in Family Law by OnlineAthens. He has been named Athens' Favorite Lawyer by Flagpole Magazine multiple years running.
Samuel is an active contributor to the legal community. He currently serves as Chair of the Child Support Committee of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association and previously served as Co-Chair of the Law Practice Committee and as Vice-Chair of the Solo/Small Firm Section of the ABA's Young Lawyers Division. He has published articles in the American Bar Association publications and the American Journal of Family Law, and has spoken at national ABA conferences on family law litigation.

Horrible
Worst attorney in the world. I almost lost my child because of him. He did absolutely nothing, and presented none of the evidence we had. HE FELL ASLEEP IN THE COURT ROOM.
