I was a police officer with the City of Atlanta Police Department from 1996 to 2002, working the patrol division, then crime suppression, then in a plain clothes capacity.  Wanting to experience a different side of law, I began defending insurance carriers and employers in workers compensation actions, then a chain of grocery stores in premise liability actions. Ultimately, I began practicing exclusively in the areas of criminal defense and family law; however, having practiced insurance defense law for several years, I can provide guidance and referrals for individuals injured at work or who are victims of the negligence of others.

Leaving a 20 plus attorney firm to working as a sole practictioner has provided me with a new perspective and breathed new life into me.  After 10 years in practice, I truly now feel like a lawyer fighting for the rights of others.

Michael did a fantastic job with my divorce. He was informative intuitive he kept me in the loop on everything that was going on and explain things in detail that I did not understand he was responsive every time I text or called or emailed I would recommend him to anyone who needs him.

When Mike was retained he wasted no time gathering all information needed for my specific case. He was very thorough all while making me feel that my case was his top priority. Great DUI lawyer!

Couldn’t ask for anyone better to represent me
I couldn’t possibly recommend Mike more. He’s professional, friendly, puts his clients first and always responds back. Mike really helped me out on a case and had it go from something pretty hefty to basically nothing. There was no one better at the job than him. He means business and took care of it immediately. Mike doesn’t play around, he gets things done and comes through on his end. I was recommended to using Mike and I’ve got to say it was the best decision I ever made. I would recommend Mike to everyone and anyone who is in need of legal advice or representation. He handled business with the upmost class, dignity and respect and was able to help me out with everything going on in my life. Help through a complex and difficult county
Mike is the best! We had a family legal issue that required last minute legal help on a holiday weekend. We got Mike's contact through a family friend and despite it being a holiday he called right away. He pitched up to a COVID locked down emergency court hearing. He advised us every step of the way and predicted the insanity of the county in which we had to sort through this issue. No surprise every prediction was dead on accurate! His skilled guidance helped us get to the desired outcome- everything dropped and restricted record! Thank you Mike for your humor, skilled legal advice, qne patience with a naive family!!!

Can’t thank him enough
We decided last-minute to find representation for our son in juvenile traffic court and attorney Mike O’Hagan moved mountains to make it happen (within 2 days notice!) We knew that he was “the” attorney to hope to hire when we received two separate recommendations from people that do not even know one another. His communication with us was timely and detailed, he explained every step of the process (in-between three court appearances in different counties each day!) We were not only blown- away by Mike’s knowledge of the law, but also found that his prior life-experience of being a police officer in Atlanta was beyond beneficial. He had the perfect delicate balance of experience and tact; he was able to advocate for our son while simultaneously seeming to gain the respect of the judge as well as the officer that issued our son his citation. We can’t say enough good things about him, we were beyond lucky to have his help and expertise!!! Great guy, great attorney, he was a win-win for us!

Should be your first choice.
