Biography
I was a police officer with the City of Atlanta Police Department from 1996 to 2002, working the patrol division, then crime suppression, then in a plain clothes capacity. Wanting to experience a different side of law, I began defending insurance carriers and employers in workers compensation actions, then a chain of grocery stores in premise liability actions. Ultimately, I began practicing exclusively in the areas of criminal defense and family law; however, having practiced insurance defense law for several years, I can provide guidance and referrals for individuals injured at work or who are victims of the negligence of others.
Leaving a 20 plus attorney firm to working as a sole practictioner has provided me with a new perspective and breathed new life into me. After 10 years in practice, I truly now feel like a lawyer fighting for the rights of others.
