My case is rather unique as I do not live in the United States and had to essentially battle my spouse from a great distance. So for 5K, I received a ruling from a judge (emergency order) where I was told that I could not sell a premarital asset (houseboat) because my spouse claimed she was living on... it at the time (which is illegal btw). Anyway, she has a good-paying job and really no bills and I ended up with the responsibility of paying for the boat and it's upkeep and pay half of her attorney fees along with maintenance costs. So this action cost 5K in fees and 3K in her fees and to continue is going to cost another 5K. At the point I simply walked away from the process as I felt there were plenty of alternatives we could have approached the other side with and we didn't do it. So now I am out the 5k and the boat, even though we could prove she has a boyfriend.

Our son was adopted internationally several years ago. We needed to do a re-adoption in order to get his vital records in the state of Georgia. Chris Conowal was wonderful in helping us achieve this. As well as, other issues that I was taken advantage of on the initial divorce decree. I pray I don't need a lawyer ever again, but if I do, he will be the first and only one I call on.
