We are doing an out of state adoption. We live in Arkansas and the baby was born in Georgia. Chris and Diane were absolutely wonderful!! I hired Chris to get custody of my 4 yr old son. My sons mother needed help and even though Chris was going up against 3 law firms and 5 respondents, he was able to get every thing he asked for and was able to get us sole legal and physical custody of my son, which was definitely in his best interest...s. Court can be confusing and sometimes it seems like you have to read in between the lines with things, but all in all Chris explained different processes as it was lengthy and was able to provide us the best counsel in court. My case is rather unique as I do not live in the United States and had to essentially battle my spouse from a great distance. So for 5K, I received a ruling from a judge (emergency order) where I was told that I could not sell a premarital asset (houseboat) because my spouse claimed she was living on... it at the time (which is illegal btw). Anyway, she has a good-paying job and really no bills and I ended up with the responsibility of paying for the boat and it's upkeep and pay half of her attorney fees along with maintenance costs. So this action cost 5K in fees and 3K in her fees and to continue is going to cost another 5K. At the point I simply walked away from the process as I felt there were plenty of alternatives we could have approached the other side with and we didn't do it. So now I am out the 5k and the boat, even though we could prove she has a boyfriend.
