This is especially true if you are dealing the complexity of modifying custody with a spouse who is a Non US citizen/has no ties to US. Ove...r the course of 4 years I’ve hired Eileen twice (divorce & custody modification). Initially due to a referral. My coworker told me about how “scary” her cousin Eileen was in divorce court. I literally called Eileen the next day requesting representation. So why entrust her with the fate of my family again? Eileen manages expectations of outcomes, conservatively allocates billable hours, completes thorough research, is extremely organized in court, communicates well and has stage presence, is quick on her feet, utilizes technology, explains legal terms in plain English and has the best staff (shout outs to Betty, Sue & Mona).
