As a trial attorney, I have limited my practice exclusively to the areas of divorce and domestic relations law, and focus my energy on the pursuit of superior results for my clients. In the emotionally charged atmosphere peculiar to divorce and domestic relations law it is frequently necessary to prepare for war in the courtroom, while simultaneously pursuing opportunities to reach settlement.
Sometimes, however, settlement is not possible and it is necessary to go to trial, where I have a proven record before both judge and jury. In addition, I have successfully tried complex and high asset divorce cases and have substantial experience litigating issues related to the division of retirement and pension plans. My record of success extends to the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals, where I have effectively advocated for my clients, and have compiled an impressive succes rate.
I am a member of the Family Law and Appellate Sections and Younger Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia; the Family Law Section of the Cobb County Bar Association. I am also a member of the T.C. Williams School of Law and Emory University Alumni Associations and attends Hillside United Methodist Church of Woodstock, Georgia. Aside from my law practice, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, as well as volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America.

In 2015, I was surprised to learn my wife had an affair while I was away for a relative’s funeral in another state. I knew based on the last few years that the marriage was not repairable after that last injustice and I commenced to find an attorney to represent me. Once I met Brad Macdonald, I knew ...

Mr. Brad Macdonald and his entire team successfully handled my custody and contempt matters with the highest level of professionalism and most importantly won our case. I would recommend the firm of HillMac to anyone who is looking for the very best legal representation available.
"I endorse this lawyer. He is easily reached by clients and by myself. I refer conflicts to Mr. MacDonald and I send him complicated QDRO issues. He is very professional. Communication is excellent. He cares about clients and wants to resolve their cases in the most efficient and cost effective manner."
"Mr. Macdonald is an honest and ethical attorney who works zealously to assist his clients during the difficult process of divorce and separation. I endorse Mr. Macdonald as a family law/divorce attorney in the Atlanta community. Mr. Macdonald is also one of the foremost authorities on appellate practice in the state of Georgia for family law and divorce cases."
"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Macdonald has always been effective in cases in which I have represented an opposing party. He has been a cordial and professional advocate."
"It has been my pleasure to be partnered in business and practice with Brad since 2007. Prior to that, we worked together from 2003. I have had a better opportunity than any other person to know his legal capabilities and personal attributes. I cannot endorse anyone with more enthusiasm."
