Over the past 15 years, I have utilized the services offered by Thomas J Ashenden, Esq. many times. Additionally, I have referred countless individuals to him, who have been more than pleased. He made history with both my Worker's Comp case and my tort case, per the state judge who oversaw the mediat...ions. On one of my referrals, it involved an incident in Tennessee, yet Tom found him adequate representation and assisted the client so that they would not have to make that long drive. He was highly recommended, and his patience and thoroughness have earned my respect. There is none like him, and I call him my friend as he has always had my best interest at heart. Each case is more than money to him, he truly represents the clients. His staff are impeccable.

My experience with Tom was very enjoyable. He and his associate attorney, Julia Latimer, and staff treated me with respect and honesty about all the facts I needed to know about my case. Tom and Julia worked very hard to get a settlement amount that I was happy with. Tom and I had conversations ab...out events other than just my case. He was never rushed and I never felt like I was on a time clock. Tom found out that I loved golf and after my settlement, he arranged a lesson with his golf instructor. It was so touching. I feel like I have made a friend for life.

I would highly recommend Tom Ashenden as a personal injury attorney, having just gone through the litigation process with him. The insurance companies' initial offers were low, so Tom asked me to come to his office so he could explain what to expect if we were to file a lawsuit. He gave me the optio...n to either accept what was offered or to allow him to file a lawsuit. I decided to allow him to file it. Following several depositions and court filings, my case ultimately settled for more than three times the amount that was offered before Tom prepared my case for trial. Tom is an excellent attorney who protected my rights. He stood up for me against four other attorneys who all represented different parties in my case. He is truly a trial lawyer at heart who fought to the finish for me. I feel as though I gained a friend who helped me when I needed it, rather than a business acquaintance.

I hired this attorney in May 2015 after a serious head injury. I was so happy to retain him because initially he seemed concerned about my general well being and getting the compensation I was due. It was a railroad accident but didn’t qualify for Fela so after that news he gave my case to his associ...ate who was great. Four months into the case I’m notified that his associate is no longer with the firm. I was asked to come in but not told why. Pretty much my case was given to mother attorney on the spot but to get me to sign the new retainer I was told he would still be my attorney but not the lead. Straight lie! The other attorney was lazy and did not communicate and pretty much I was stuck with him until he voluntarily withdrew because it was long and complicated and he couldn’t get a quick settlement. He referred me to another attorney who was able to get me a settlement after two years. I would not refer Thomas Ashenden ever again or hire him personally. The ball was totally dropped on my case and my compensation proved it. Nice guy but that’s it from my experience.

After three years of acquiring the service of Tom I left his office today feeling very disheartened. I didn't feel like my case was taken seriously and that any effort was put into it. I know there are many reasons why that could have happened. However, as a client I shouldn't be left feeling that ...way. I acquired Tom's service three years ago and the settlement offer I was offered three years ago was the same offer I ended up walking away with three years later. I did not go to law school but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that, that should not have happened. My case never made it to court. I never received a court date. I was left feeling as if my case was not worth his time. I feel I was fluffed for three years then left up to make my own choice if I wanted to proceed or wait another two years. I would not recommend Tom in all honesty. I am very disappointed and hurt.
