I devote my practice primarily to the areas of divorce, custody, and parental advocacy in DFCS matters. As an advocate for the rights of parents, I have realized my lifelong passion for helping others in their time of need. Through eleven years of practice, I have represented a variety of clients in various matters throughout our legal system. I take great satisfaction in seeing my client’s cases through to a successful resolution, regardless of the challenges that may exist with any particular case. Among my peers, I am well known to be a compassionate advocate for my clients, because I firmly believe in the mantra that one should treat others as they wish to be treated. As a father, I am particularly passionate about the rights of parents, and the protection of those rights. No matter how tough, how unpopular, or how challenging the case, I am eager to defend your fundamental right to raise your children.
Prior to forming Brown, Barbour, & Thrailkill, P.C., I was an associate of our Firm’s predecessor, Miller & Brown, P.C. and a summer associate at the Law Office of John B. Miller, LLC.
Outside of my law practice, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Jennifer, and my daughter, Madison. I am active in my home church, Stockbridge First United Methodist Church, where I have served in various leadership positions. When I am not advocating for you, I am cheering for my alma mater, the Georgia Bulldogs, with my family and friends.

"I endorse this lawyer. Justin was opposing counsel in a difficult modification of visitation and contempt action. I was extremely impressed by Justin's honesty, thoroughness, and advocacy in the courtroom. Hands down I would trust Justin to represent me in any Family/Domestic case."
"I worked with Justin on a difficult case a few years ago and found him to be exceptionally cordial and professional. His legal acumen is impressive and he was laser focused on his client's best interests. I only wish that every case involved such professional interactions and resolutions."
"Justin began at a law firm as I was leaving to go to law school. Then Justin went to the same law school as me. I've watched him grow as a strong, client-focused advocate and attorney who works incredibly hard to protect the rights and property of his clients. I endorse Justin wholeheartedly, and he is one of the folks I refer clients to in family law issues."
"I have known Justin for years. I originally knew Justin when I had a supervisory role over him. Now that we are peers, I still have great respect for his work ethic and dedication to his clients."
"Justin is an excellent attorney. He provides his clients with great legal knowledge, realistic expectations, and effective representation. You can't go wrong with Justin!"
"Justin is an excellent family law attorney and a zealous advocate for his clients. He is familiar with the customs and practices of local courts and judges. His intelligence and insights regarding the local judiciary allow him to effectively advise and represent his clients."
"Mr. Thrailkill knows the law and uses his knowledge to fight hard for his clients. It was a pleasure and a challenge to oppose him and I'd recommend his services without hesitation."
