I am so thankful to have met Diane M. Sternlieb (Dee) and her staff (Jessie and Abby)! They were the most honest, professional, experienced, responsive, and hard-working people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I met with four other lawyers prior to meeting with Dee and all of them told... me the odds were against me regarding child custody, child support, equity distribution, etc. As soon as I walked into Dee’s law office, I knew she would be the one to represent me in my divorce case. Wow to think after three long years it looks like we FINALLY have our life back. After escaping with my life from a very abusive and violent relationship , I remarried and it seemed that's when things went from bad to worse. My "baby daddy" wanted nothing to do with our little boys until he saw they... were finally out of his control and happy. You see, I had never seen the inside of a courtroom in my life (unless it was on t.v.) until my ex-wife and her new husband began to alienate me from my daughter and undermine my rights and role ...as her father. I had hired a very well-known attorney, who was also a respected life-long friend, and he introduced me to Dee. Dee answered the prayers of my husband and I. Our children were put into the temporary custody of a family member because of our substance abuse. After doing rehab, getting clean, putting our lives back together we attempted to regain custody. We were denied custody after going before a judge becaus...e to our shock, the temporary guardian had hired a local Carrollton lawyer to fight us getting the babies back. Even after going to mediation, taking parenting classes, relentless and tons of hair follicle drug tests, etc., we were being bulldozed and denied custody.
