Diane Marilyn Sternlieb

After reading reviews online for Ms. Sternlieb I was eager to have a consultation for my child support/ visitation case. Ms. Sternlieb arrived 20 minutes late for starters and I was about to leave but figured with all these great reviews she's got to be good. I paid her 100 dollars in cash (mandato...ry), and the consultation was underway. I laid everything out for her on paper and even made up a calendar. From the start she acted like we were doing her a disservice. The "consultation" was basically made up of her badmouthing various judges, badmouthing men, and spewing her politics (all with a voice and tone reminiscent of Judge Judy btw)She flipped through my papers in 45 seconds and basically said the mother has full custody already so you don't have a case. I do not understand all the positive reviews unless they were all from women and she's a man hater. She gave me the feeling I lost before I even started, this is not the way a lawyer should be in my opinion...terrible, I do NOT recommend her for hire or consultation.

I don’t know where my daughter and I would be had I not hired the Law Office of Diane Sternlieb to represent me in my divorce. My Husband had been my partner and protector for over 16 years, I thought he was the perfect husband. Then, one day I came home from work and he started falsely accusing me... of some really bizarre things. Because of his paranoia and delusional thoughts, he destroyed our marriage. He was verbally, emotionally and mentally abusive at that point. This was his third marriage. He tried to bully me into signing his lawyers divorce papers so that he would not have to pay child support. This was my first marriage and I didn’t have a clue what I should do. The lady helping my husband with the divorce said she could not give me any legal advice since she was working for him but there were several lawyers close by that could help me and that I should have my own attorney look over the paperwork if I had questions. That turned out to be the best advice she could have given me. That’s when I found the law office of Diane Sternlieb. Diane Sternlieb and her assistant Jesse helped me through every step. They explained that child support was not my money or my husband’s money. It was my child’s money that was needed to take care of her and I did not have the right to short change her just because he was trying to say he could not afford to pay. Turns out, he could afford to pay child support for our child. Diane Sternlieb is a tough lady who will stand up for her clients. She did not allow my ex husband to bully me during our mediation. I am so thankful to have met Diane M. Sternlieb (Dee) and her staff (Jessie and Abby)! They were the most honest, professional, experienced, responsive, and hard-working people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I met with four other lawyers prior to meeting with Dee and all of them told... me the odds were against me regarding child custody, child support, equity distribution, etc. As soon as I walked into Dee’s law office, I knew she would be the one to represent me in my divorce case. I told her my story and she was very honest with me upfront. She immediately had a plan in place and took me under her wing like I was family. I completely trusted Dee’s advice throughout the divorce case and provided everything she needed to do her job effectively. In the court room and in mediation, she did not let me down. I went from being an every other weekend dad, to a father that has 50/50 shared physical and legal custody. She is a strong advocate for fathers who want to be a part of their children’s lives. I would recommend anyone to Dee and her staff when it comes to family law. My children mean the world to me and if it is one thing on this earth that I would fight for, it would be them. I trusted Dee with this challenge in my life and she did everything in her power to make it happen. She will be my family lawyer and friend for life!

My current husband and I hired Diane a few years ago when we were tired of being pushed around by my daughter's father. We tried to be cooperative and allow visitation as he was able to and barely collected any type of child support. Things progressed to her being in situations I was not comfortable ...with, so we didn't feel it appropriate for her to be around him unsupervised. In return to this, my ex hired an attorney and went after us for FULL CUSTODY! We were outraged and called Diane. Understanding our situation, she became very involved and invested in seeing things work in our favor. Not only did we get full custody and decent monthly child support, she had him shaking in his boots at the first mediation session! He had absolutely no grounds to try for full custody, and the opposing lawyer simply cowered when Diane presented photos, statements, and other evidence that he was not fit to be a full-time dad. I felt like I was represented and defended in a way that made me feel powerful and in control of my child's future. The matter was resolved and we were happy without ever stepping foot in a courtroom! Diane was amazing! I wholeheartedly have and will recommend her to anyone seeking a lawyer who doesn't mess around!

Diane was absolutely amazing in my modification to child support!!!! She fought her and refused to let me settle for less than I was entitled to. She was honest throughout my entire case and kept me informed about what my case. If you are looking for an attorney look no further you have found the bes...t of the best and she will fight hard on your behalf!!!!!!!
