Wow to think after three long years it looks like we FINALLY have our life back. After escaping with my life from a very abusive and violent relationship , I remarried and it seemed that's when things went from bad to worse. My "baby daddy" wanted nothing to do with our little boys until he saw they... were finally out of his control and happy. My husband and I decided we needed protection and an adoption to keep them safe forever. As you can imagine a contested adoption is probably the hardest case to win. The day we walked out of Dee's office we knew she was the one. She told us straight up what to expect and the risk. After hearing my story she took me in like one of her own daughters. She promised to do everything in her power to protect us. She fought for my boys like they were her own grandchildren. We shared many laughs and just as many cries, sleepless nights together and hours on the phone. Diane Sternlieb handled my divorce years ago when my son was a month old. My husband bacame mixed up in drugs & it was not healthy for my son & I to stay in the situation. Diane completely kept him from having any access to the child period. Fast forward 5 years & I remarried & my husband who had r...aised my son as his own decided he wanted to adopt him. We went to Diane again who started the process & the biological father who had never paid nor seen his son in all this time decides he now wants to come around & not allow the adoption. We were devastated, but Diane came in & saved my sons life again. It took quite a long time to go through the process of the courts, but she kept me in the loop about what was happening & any changes in the case & would calm me down each time I would call crying or upset over the situation. She worked so hard on this case & after 2 years (because of an appeal) we finally won. My son has his daddy who he has always known & our family is whole. She saved my sons life over & over these last 5 years & always had his best interest as her priority. I would (& have) recommend her to absoutely anyone. She is our families Angel & I will forever be grateful for her. There were times when I had lost all hope in the world. I was a hardened person & let nobody in. Diane & her friendship through this made me see there is still good in this world & there is hope for families who are just trying to love & raise their children in the most healthy & safe environment possible. If you want an attorney to give you 150% of their time & effort, then you must use Diane. All of her cases she takes are high priority to her & she will give each & every person who walks through her door the best that anyone could ever expect. From the minute my husband and I walked into Ms. Sternlieb's office we were treated like old friends. Shannon, the assistant was wonderful. She was very warm and understanding and seemed genuinely concerned about helping us. When we met with Ms. Sternlieb we were once again treated with genuine kindn...ess and she was extremely knowledgeable and confident. This had not been the experience I have had with other lawyers in the past, that had left a bad taste in my mouth.
