Diane Marilyn Sternlieb

After reading reviews online for Ms. Sternlieb I was eager to have a consultation for my child support/ visitation case. Ms. Sternlieb arrived 20 minutes late for starters and I was about to leave but figured with all these great reviews she's got to be good. I paid her 100 dollars in cash (mandato...ry), and the consultation was underway. I laid everything out for her on paper and even made up a calendar. From the start she acted like we were doing her a disservice. The "consultation" was basically made up of her badmouthing various judges, badmouthing men, and spewing her politics (all with a voice and tone reminiscent of Judge Judy btw)She flipped through my papers in 45 seconds and basically said the mother has full custody already so you don't have a case. I do not understand all the positive reviews unless they were all from women and she's a man hater. She gave me the feeling I lost before I even started, this is not the way a lawyer should be in my opinion...terrible, I do NOT recommend her for hire or consultation.

I used Diane Sternlieb for my legitimization case. Communication with this attorney is difficult and often blamed on " horse farm emergencies." She didn't care to know the details of my situation, and I didn't feel like she properly advocated on my behalf, and made it seem like my only option was to ...take every other weekend visitation because getting anything more wouldn't be a possibility. She made me feel that as a father, I had no choice but to take what I could get because the mother has the upper hand, I felt like I lost before I even got started.

Diane was a lifesaver for me. She helped me get custody of my daughter back in 2009. This case went on for almost two years due to the case getting moved from Carrollton to Douglasville and the fact that it kept getting postponed by the other side. She was very sympathetic to what my family and I wer...e going through at the time and fought very hard for me. This was a very difficult case and being that I am a man in GA and was trying to get full custody of my daughter I thought my chances were little to none. Diane never gave me any false hopes of winning. She was very forthcoming with the possibilities of the outcome but told me we had a real chance. When our final court date finally came I was so impressed with how hard she fought for me. She was prepared and made a great case on my behalf. We won the case and I was awarded full custody of my daughter. I am so grateful I had Diane on my side! This was a three-way custody battle. I was trying to get custody of my daughter and I was up against both her mom and grandparents. The grandparents were trying to take custody from their daughter and me. This was a very difficult time. After winning the case and maybe a year after court was over one of the grandparents said to me how great of a lawyer she was and they wished they would have had her on her side back then. I did a review years back but I was just telling a friend about her and happened to just start looking online at some of the reviews. I only saw two bad reviews basically saying she wasn't helpful to them and one made a comment they felt because he was a man or she is a man-hater she wouldn't help. She is just the opposite! She will give it to you like it is but not in a bad way just a factual way. Diane is truthful and my opinion is that if there wasn't a case to be made she would tell you. I don't think she is the type to just take money from someone just to keep money coming in. I can say that it was my first time ever using a lawyer and you can't help but worry how much effort is being put into to your case behind closed doors but let me tell you she was prepared and blew everyone away with how good she did. Even one of the bailiffs congratulated me after seeing him again and made comment how great she was. I will always be thankful to her and recommend her to anyone seeking a GREAT lawyer!
