Her practice areas include both family law matters and business litigation. Charlotte became interested in family law based on a guardianship action for her niece and nephew prior to law school. This exposure to the Family Law Court system launched empathy for individuals going through family transitions. Charlotte also finds that her business background is frequently used to analyze the financial transitions that occur in family law cases, helping her strategically advise clients to prepare for their financial future.

Charlotte began practicing law with the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Georgia Bar. The Family Law section of the Georgia Bar is a professional organization associated with the lawyer licensing board in Georgia. Mentored by the chair for nearly two years, Charlotte gained extensive litigation experience in family law. This litigation experience coupled with her internship in the Superior Court of Cherokee County with Judge Ellen McElyea has provided countless hours of family law arguments, strategies, and knowledge in this field.

Mrs. Ruble handles a broad range of family law cases including divorce, separation, custody, child support, legitimation, family violence actions, and Dependancy/DFCS actions. Modification actions and contempt proceedings are also part of her practice area. Mrs. Ruble advocates for her clients' interests in a cost effective approach. Clients are not only advised on the legal issues in their case, but also cost effective strategies for their case. This includes advisement on courses of action and the financial considerations for those actions. Mrs. Ruble strongly believes that parties should try to resolve matters in a collaborative fashion whenever possible, however, she understands that there are times when it is necessary and appropriate to use her litigation background as a strategic advantage for clients..

General Background and Education

Mrs. Ruble was born in New Orleans, Lousiana. Her family moved to Cherokee County, Georgia in 1989. Her father was a officer in the United States Navy. Her family has been involved in the Cherokee County community for almost 30 years.

Mrs. Ruble attended Georgia State University earning a Bachelor's in Spanish and a Bachelor's in German. While in college, Mrs. Ruble attended many international languages programs abroad through the University System of Georgia including programs with Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Georgia. These programs provided colleagate courses in Germany, Mexico, and a series of Arbitration courts in the European Union. Mrs. Ruble then continued her education at Georgia State University earning a specialized Master's Degree in International Business. Charlotte focused her Master's degree on law and finance comparing the practice of law in the United States to other countries.

Mrs. Ruble worked for the Foreign Commerical Service sector of the United State Government at the American Consulate in Munich, Germany in 2008. She then decided to transition her passion for law into a more domestic setting attending Mercer University School of Law. In addition to the rigors of a law school curriculum, Mrs. Ruble interned with Judge Ellen McElyea in the Superior Court of Cherokee County and then worked as a law clerk for Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn, & Dial for two years while finishing law school.

At Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn, & Dial, Mrs. Ruble gained litigation experience working on large scale insurance defense cases in areas including premise liability, medical malpratice, breach of contract, and trucking accidents. While she thoroughly enjoyed the court room side of this practice area, Mrs. Ruble felt that the human component and connection with clients was an essential and the most rewarding part of being a lawyer.

Mrs. Ruble went to work in the area of Family Law for the Chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia after graduating law school. She joined Meriwether & Tharp in 2013. Mrs. Ruble was on the Board of the Forsyth County Bar Association from 2014 to 2017. She was President of the Forsyth County Bar Association from 2016 to 2017.

Good Choice to Hire Charlotte

I am posting this review without using my full name due to the sensitive nature of the topic. Charlotte, Lily, and team did a thorough and fantastic job helping me navigate through a complicated non-typical situation. They were extremely responsive when I needed to meet, thorough in their research ...of the law applying to my case, and aggressive in their advocacy on my behalf. Charlotte, Lily, and team also were knowledgeable about specific judges and precedents in the local court system, which gave them an edge over other attorneys. I strongly recommend hiring them, especially for cases that are more difficult than usual or cases that are urgent.

Outstanding Attorney

Becoming a client of Meriwether and Tharp has been a great blessing! Life doesn’t always take you on the road well-traveled and I recently found myself traveling in unfamiliar territory; single and pregnant. I became a client of Charlotte Ruble during my pregnancy so that we could begin a child sup...port order for my newborn as soon as possible. Although she was unable to begin proceedings until my daughter was born, Charlotte and her team often checked in to see how my pregnancy was going. Her calm and empathetic mannerism coupled with some humor, made it easy to develop a positive attorney-client relationship. Charlotte worked closely with Lauren Zaki and Andrea Palmer, who worked diligently on my case and always communicated with me clearly and quickly. These women always treated my case with fidelity; updating me on a consistent basis. Their communication was so thorough that I received answers to questions before I was able to ask them and they were always available to listen if I had worries and concerns. Even though these women had many other cases, they made me feel like I was of the upmost importance to them which took many stresses away and allowed me to focus on my personal life. My daughter was born on August 29th and Charlotte filed for a court date just two days later. I still cannot get over how prompt and quick this whole process was! The short time that it took to have my case completed and finalized from the time it began still shocks me and it’s all due to Charlotte’s precision and attention to detail. EXCELLENT ATTORNEY!!!!!

Divorce is a very unfortunate and painful process for one to endure. Thankfully, I made the wise decision to hire Charlotte Ruble to handle my proceedings early on in the legal process and I couldn't be more pleased with my selection. Charlotte and her attentive paralegal Andrea Palmer and her 2 law ...clerk Lilly Bristow and Lauren Zaki were with me every step of the way and did a fabulous job of successfully guiding me through the treacherous waters of divorce. Charlotte is extremely knowledgeable, honest, strong, gives great attention to detail; and, is a true advocate for her clients. She represented me in my divorce and child custody; and, I personally couldn't be more pleased. The level of interest and sincerity that was put forth by Charlotte, along with her team, was refreshing and encouraging. Charlotte is the Wonder Women of Attorney's in Atlanta

Charlotte leads the way for the new generation of attorney's that understand the new unconventional family and the politics that surrounds some of the good old boy lawyers and judges within more conservative counties. I knew my divorce would be contested. I am a dad of two daughters and my ex w...anted 100% custody. Charlotte and I strategized our approach and priorities in my case. She made clear my best case and worst case which allowed me to have a fair sense of expectations. The Ex and I did mediation for 11 hours and we finally arrived on a settlement. So I got to see Charlotte do her lawyer thing for 11 hours and holy smokes -- it was amazing. She was so sharp and prepared with the counters and she gave solid arguments for why the opposing party was being unreasonable. Charlotte remained calm, collected and cool for the entire time. She could have kept at it for another 24 hours. The best thing about Charlotte besides her expertise knowledge about family law is that she has empathy. Empathy combined with expertise is a powerful combination which is why I called her the Wonder Women and why Forsyth County Bar association named her vice president. I got what I wanted which was a fair and reasonable child custody and was kept informed during the entire process. In fact Charlotte's paralegal, Andrea R. Palmer, is another super hero. Both of them can do damage and get the job done. So quit looking around for attorney's. Hired Charlotte's team.
