As a divorced mother and adoptive parent, I identify with my clients and am passionate about assisting them through difficult life transitions to achieve an outcome that is best for their family.
After graduating from the University of Georgia and then Wake Forest University School of Law, I represented the Department of Family and Children’s Services in abuse and neglect cases. This gave me extensive court experience that prepared me to litigate the most complex child custody cases. Soon after, I began to focus on contested custody and divorce cases, handling hundreds of complex custody and family law issues throughout metro Atlanta. I have experience and knowledge that clients can trust.
My interest in family law began in law school, where I volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem in juvenile court and held family law clerkships in both public interest and private firms. My achievements in advocacy also began in law school, when I exposed that the Atlanta Municipal Court was restricting public access to weekend hearings. My work was highlighted in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and my efforts caused the Atlanta Municipal Court to reevaluate its practice of barring the public from the courtroom on weekends. Additionally, I earned two CALI Awards for Academic Excellence.
I use my experience, strong advocacy skills, and passion for family law to work with clients to create a customized strategy to protect their children and create a better life for their family.

So thankful that I ended up working with Jeanette and she explained why a Post Nuptial Agreement would be more beneficial in my specific case than going straight to divorce. I didn't quite get it when she proposed it but looking back what a relief I went her route.

Jeanette Soltys approached this contentious situati...

Didn't know my case my needs nor what to do. My son and I were victims of my ex, however Jeanette didn't believe me, act on it, nor care. I spent more time arguing with her than with the opponent's lawyer in the courtroom. She charged me for work I never benefited from. In the end, she said that I sh...
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I care deeply about helping parents protect their children and obtain excellent custody results. It is disappointing that you feel I didn't care or believe you, and I apologize that this was your experience. I never want any client to feel unheard or believe I am unprepared. Please contact me directly so we can clear up these misunderstandings and discuss what I could have done better to earn your trust.
