My practice is focused on helping clients with bankruptcy and family law matters. I recognize that most individuals who have legal needs relating to bankruptcy or family law matters are potentially experiencing stressful and emotional times. As such, I focus my practice on helping individuals with their legal matter by providing sensitive and caring attention to my clients when they need it most. I believe that every client deserves personal attention directly from the attorney they retain.
Before opening my law firm, I was an attorney at Thompson, Meier & King, P.C. in Canton, Georgia for three years. In my capacity as an attorney there, I represented the Cherokee County Department of Family and Children Services in dependency proceedings in Juvenile Court, and I also represented clients in bankruptcy and family law matters. Prior to that, I worked for a small civil firm in Alpharetta, Georgia where I focused my practice on bankruptcy, family law, and civil litigation matters.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Before starting high school, my family relocated to Yorktown, Virginia where I lived until moving to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Emory University. In 2003, I graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. In 2007, I graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. During law school, I spent a summer semester abroad at the Royal College University, Escorial Maria Cristina in El Escorial, Spain. After completing the summer semester, I had the opportunity to travel across Europe, adding to the list of countries I have visited. So far, the list of countries includes Austria, England, Holland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Spain. After graduating from law school, I returned to Atlanta, Georgia to begin my legal career.
