Uncontested Divorce - Streamlined process

This review applies to my experience with Mr. Hughes for an UNCONTESTED divorce only - no children or property to divide. The cost was exactly the same as I would have paid with the highly touted legalzoom online (including court/filing fees which are charged no matter the method of preparing paperwo...rk). The benefit here is he could efile quickly which only attorneys are authorized to do, as I understand it. I chose Mr. Hughes for that reason and because I prefer to have an attorney review the docs and represent me in the courtroom. NOTE: I come from a family of corporate attorneys and was initially not-super-impressed with his largely email-only approach. In fact, I never spoke with Mr. Hughes until we met outside the courtroom. However, after considering the whole experience, turns out I didn’t need warm/fuzzy - I needed a divorce. Can’t find fault with his professionalism. I was amazed (and a little weary) at the stack of case files he had for the day of my hearing. I wondered if that meant I was in for an all-day ordeal. No worries there - I have never met such an organized person. His process is nailed down SOLID; took maybe thirty minutes to get through about 7 cases ahead of me, then approx 60 seconds for mine to be heard and not one hiccup. Strangely quick and easy: His emails throughout the process are no-nonsense guides that explain CLEARLY the costs, steps required for executing docs, info on final hearing/where to park etc. TIP: READ the emails carefully!! There is nothing left to guess - it’s all in there for this type of case. He spells it out l, but take the time to read directions. I am pretty expert at minimizing attorney communications, but not everyone is. Don’t waste time asking questions that are answered in the emails he sends. BONUS: He was good enough to walk me down to the clerk’s office along with another client who waited about ten minutes for him to wrap up his other cases. He filed our final decrees on the spot and patiently waited while we paid a small fee for two certified copies (the clerk’s credit card machine is dicey, bring $20 cash just in case).. Getting walked-through the filing is a nice touch for anyone restoring their maiden name - it felt good to walk out of the building LEGALLY divorced with MY name back. Now...on to bigger and better adventures!!

Uncontested Divorce

Mr. Hughes was professional and courteous. He took the time to walk me through the whole process and answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly. He sent me the paperwork to fill out and then did all the processing and necessary filing. The overall experience was much easier and pain free tha...n I expected entering in to the divorce process. I will definitely use Mr. Hughes again for my next divorce.

Highly Recommended!!!

Mr. Hughes is the best uncontested lawyer in the state of Georgia. He promised to have the case done in a months time and that's exactly we he did!! Thanks to him I was able to close that chapter of my life and for very little money!!!!

Divorce by Publication

I hired Mr. Hughes to handle a divorce by publication. He was knowledgable, able to answer all my questions, and always responded to my messages quickly. Divorce by Publication is a lengthy process, but he made it as painless as possible. I recommend Leo Hughes if you're considering a divorce.

Uncontested divorce

Mr. Hughes assisted me with my uncontested divorce by providing me with the forms and information needed to fill them out. He was timely, informative and easy to talk to. Also, advised me that could get certified copies of the final decree and walked me to the correct area to pick them up.
