Biography
My practice is dedicated to helping disabled individuals recover Social Security disability benefits. I have been practicing law since 1988, and have helped thousands of folks recover disability benefits. I handle most of my cases on appeal, after a client has been turned down for disability by the Social Security Administration.
My main office is in Asheville, North Carolina, but I maintain a national practice. No office appointment is necessary; I can handle a case from start to finish via phone calls and email.
When I'm not in court, in my spare time I enjoy hiking, traveling and spending time with my kids.

Helped Me Out
Mr. Lusk helped me get my SSI started even though I had been rejected by social security. He did an appeal of my case and ended up getting a decision where they gave me disability. It's not a whole lot of money but the main thing is that I get medicaid now which is what I needed most.

Very Good Lawyer on My Case
I hired Mr. Lusk to help me on my SSI case. His office kept me up to date on what was going on so that was good. Plus he went over my case with me before the court hearing and made me feel not so nervous. I am now getting my disability. I would use him again if needed.

DON'T WASTE YOU TIME NOR YOUR STRENGTH ON THIS MAN.
He was my attorney for a year and dropped me without provocations or warning or reason two days before my hearing. I have since heard that he does this often. Now I have to wait even longer. I would not utilize his services if I were you.

Replied last October 21, 2014In general, I only withdraw from a case for compelling factual, legal or ethical considerations. Of the thousands of clients I have represented I have withdrawn from representation less than 1% of the time. However, I understand the frustration of changing attorneys, and I welcome a phone call from this former client to discuss the specific reasons for the withdrawal and the options for hiring new counsel. He did great job. Hired many others before but got no where. His office staff do great job too. Very happy.

He is a life saver!
I can't say enough about how great he was. His office staff is so sweet and so is Mr. Lusk. When my husband died, I had no idea what I would do. He called me personally and took time to explain everything to me.
