Went above and beyond

Nathan stepped in and took over a case that had been handled poorly by another attorney. I know fixing someone else's mistakes is always an issue, he just stepped in and fixed the case. When it was all said and done it cost me less than the other person was charging and the results were exactly as I ...had hoped for. I highly recommend Nathan.

Saved the Day

After my business was served with a lawsuit by a supplier, Mr. Workman did an excellent job stepping in and defending my business. The supplier ended up dropping the lawsuit, and he reviewed all the standard agreements my business uses and improved them to make sure we wouldn't come across the same p...roblem again in the future. He's very sharp, down to earth, and has a great business mind. I have him on speed dial and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone.

"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Workman and I went to law school together. He was respected then among his peers, and he is respected now among lawyers in North Carolina. He is a class act, honest, extremely intelligent, likeable, hard-working, gifted, and well-versed in the law. Mr. Workman is the kind of attorney I would want in my corner if I needed legal counsel. I highly recommend him without any reservation!"

"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Workman has combined his experience in the "real world" of business with a legal education to provide insight for his clients that is lacking in the market today. Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2016.

Suspension With All Stayed issued in NC, 2016

updated on 02/10/2017

Suspension stayed means the attorney has been suspended, but that the suspension is placed on hold (and ultimately removed) if the attorney complies with certain requirements.

Nathan’s comment:

“In 2013, I delegated two probate cases to an associate, and the associate neglected to close them. My clients didn't file a grievance, but the NC Bar investigated the issue. It maintained that I didn't adequately supervise the associate or respond to the court when it attempted to notify the firm about the issue. I maintained that I was given bad information from the associate and the court never actually notified the firm. I reached this settlement with the NC Bar and the associate was let go.”

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2016
Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
