Rude
She replied on my comment for one I’m only 17 with a very smart remark. As me being a minor I asked the question because I didn’t know but instead got a smart remark. Very unprofessional and reading the other bad reviews I absolutely believe them. She might be a good lawyer but she’s rude for no reas...
You did not 'consult' with me. You asked a question - I answered it. You simply didn't like the way I answered and are apparently so entitled that you believe I have some obligation to respond in a manner that you approve of - I don't. So if your review keeps people like you away from my business - you are doing me a favor.

She needs to check see if give correct address
Amanda bowden Johnson, will get u a divorce and the other person will not know about anything. My husband sent divorce papers to family members home where I didn't live at it was done wrong she should have checked to see if was my proper address. I was not served properly how I found out that I was d...
If you were the defendant, then you aren't my client and have no standing to submit a review as we never had a consultation nor did I represent you. I represent your spouse and I have zero obligation to you. However, since your review reflects that I did what your spouse wanted and others know that if they hire me I will get the job done for them despite the whining of their spouses - I am good with that.

Rude
While answering questions, she makes the person answering sound dumb. She’s rude when answering questions. It’s a simple answer and if she’s going to be rude, then why answer the question.
You sound how you sound - that's all on you. You are the one who typed the question not me. If you felt dumb - that's on you too. Normal people understand that when you ask a question on a public forum that you may not get the response you hoped for. Normal people also simply disregard answers they don't like and move on. Normal people also understand that you don't get to dictate how others respond and that you are not entitled to answers that meet with your approval. In short - you make yourself sound dumb as you have done in this review which didn't even put a dent in my 4 star standing because thankfully, there are still way more normal people in the world who are happy with my answers and services than there are entitled people like you who mistakenly believe others must comply with your sense of how things should be done.

Unprofessional
I find that Amanda was very unprofessional with her response to a question I stated on AVVO directed towards an attorney I previously spoke to. Instead of her giving her expertise or advice as a licensed lawyer, she make a mockery and joke of my question.
You never consulted with me. You asked a question on a public forum and I answered it. Of course, you had already asked your question prior and had other attorneys answer it, yet you seem to think you know better than them because you have done some 'research'. Bottomline, when you ask a question on a public forum, you do not get to dictate the responses you get. While you clearly would have preferred a different style of answer, you simply aren't entitled to it. I however, am entitled to answer your joke of a question in the manner I see fit. Besides what would be the point of answering your question a second time? You have already asked the question and got responses. Do you really think the answers will change? While there's nothing wrong with getting a second opinion, exactly how many attorneys does it take all telling you the same thing before you become just a giant waste of everyone's time?

Not helpful
I do not have a DUI! Did not give me the information I asked for! Her tone in her writing was not appropriate. The other attorney gave me great information and were very kind.
Overall, I have a 4 star review. Most people love my answers but on occasion some overly sensitive and entitled people like you apparently are don't and that is to be expected and frankly, is as it ought to be - normal people know this. Of course you don't have a DUI, I never said you did - North Carolina doesn't even have DUI's. Because you apparently don't even know that much, more likely your problem was that you didn't ask the right question to get the information you think you need - that's on you. Also, if you are the one who asked if you could 'phone in' a continuance request if you could not get to court because of bad weather, then I wasn't even the one who mentioned DUI - it was Derek R. Caldwell. As to you expecting me to hold your hand like a little girl and pat you on the head and say everything will be alright like your mommy did when you got a boo boo - yeah, I don't do that. You don't get to dictate how I respond, normal people understand that as well and also understand that when they post a question on a public forum they will likely get all sorts of responses, some they will like and some maybe not so much so. I have zero obligation to respond in a manner that you approve of. You are presumably grown and ought to be able to handle a frank and curt answer in a forum where space is limited. So if you don't like my tone - that's on you as well. If those two things are the basis for your review, then then two good things will come out of it for me: 1) is that normal people reading it will give your review the merit it deserves which is to ignore it as the ramblings of someone who incorrectly thinks the responses they get on a public forum should only be ones they approve of and 2) it will encourage undesirable people like you (who I don't like to have to deal with anyway) to steer clear of me. Which is win, win for me so thank you for that much at least.

"Although I do not know Ms. Houser personally, I have read her answers on this site from people writing in with legal questions. Her responses are concise and well thought out and certainly beneficial to those asking questions and there I can endorse Ms. Houser as an attorney."
"Amanda has a wonderful "take no prisoners" attitude which enables her to tell the unvarnished truth to her clients. She is a skilled advocate, knows the law, and has the ability to powerfully represent her clients and win cases. I endorse this lawyer. She has great instincts, and from her responses to questions on this website and others, gives of herself in a public forum in a manner which does credit to our profession. I respect and value her as a colleague. You should respect her as an Attorney."
