In working with Atty DeCosta regarding my case, I feel that she is a "no-nonsense" lawyer whom has the capability to get the job done, but fails terribly when communicating with her clients and allowing cases to fall through the cracks. I will not express openly the details of my interaction with Att...y Decosta on this webpage but I would like for others to perform their research before hiring Atty Decosta and I will be pursuing further action regarding my interaction with her.

Mrs Decosta, is very good at her job, she will do all it takes to get you exactly what you want. My name is to be places on the RIL list I filed a petition very late originally I should've file in 15 days it took over 21 days before I filed. Been a faith I saw Att Dicosta on Google and I just calle...d her immediately. Her voice sounds on the phone like she aggressive. But I appreciated it atlast because it was from my own good: because of the late filed petition. DSS file a petition to dismiss my petition without trial. So we had to go for hearing as to weither to keep my my petition or to go for trial. Just the day of the hearing for the motion of dismissal of petition. Miss Dicosta beat both the hearing of motion of dismissal and the trial. The court drop all charges. And I was victorious without any trial. She make me so happy. And waive also all the balance fees that I owed her. I will recommend her to family and friends. Shes the best

This lawyer does not communicate well, only wanted to email and text. I requested many times a phone call or office visit but weeks will go by with no response MEANWHILE the opposing attorney is sending numerous letters to me. This lawyer never notified the court she was representing me and did NO...THING on my case. I filed a temporary parenting agreement on my own and hired this lawyer to ensure it goes through along with any further assistance with this. I was trying to see my son and his mother was keeping him from me. I was informed a FLAT FEE of $1775.00 for a Temporary parenting agreement or TPA. I paid $1500.00 towards this and was informed by mail later it was denied. I informed this lawyer and she said "because I filed it". She was extremely hard to reach, only responded to emails days after I sent them multiple times, multiple voicemails left with no response. Even after I requested a refund she said she was going to deduct phone calls, which I had begged for and only received after I requested the refund. She kept blaming the lack of communication on her being licensed in NJ as well as NC or my job schedule. I informed her early my job is aware of my situation and I can speak anytime if she tells me a time. She never did!! She has not been returning my calls, has not responded to the letter I was advised to send by the State Bar Association and weeks have gone by with NO WORDS or CONTACT from this attorney. She has not refunded me anything, even though she did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on my case.

Tiyesha is an attorney that took my case for divorce. I paid her a retainer. I met her at a rental office space, she didn't have any assistants, resources or deep level of law acumen. She prepared papers to be filled for my case and it contained a multitude of mistakes. I told her about the mista...kes and she downplayed the errors. I asked her the make the changes and she fail to make some significant changes that were flat-out things that were not true. When my wife got served, she pointed out the inaccuracies in the paperwork which killed Tiyesha's credibility with me and gave my wife confidence in her lawyer's defense against my filing. In short, Tiyesha is not a hard worker, she is limited in knowledge and experience and she doesn't follow up very well. She is not established and should not represent anyone in a divorce as she would put her client in a poor position to get what they want out of divorce. She does not have the resources to do investigation into adultery and financials.
