A native of Mooresville, Mark has practiced law in our community since 1990. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UNC Charlotte in 1986 and his Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1990. Mark’s practice is oriented heavily toward civil and criminal trial work. He has handled matters in the North Carolina District and Superior Courts, the North Carolina Business Court, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. Mark has also taught courses in business and real estate law, as well as instructed other lawyers in the subject of DWI defense.
In addition to his busy law practice, Mark has served as an officer and board member of various private and charitable institutions, including past service as a member of the local advisory board for Citizens South (now South State) Bank, President of the Mooresville Jaycees, President of the Mooresville/South Iredell Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Mooresville/Lake Norman United Way and board member of Our Towns Habitat for Humanity. He currently serves as board member and is a past Board Chairperson for HealthReach Community Clinic.
