We appealed and the North Carolina Court of Appeals reversed the trial court's decision and re-instated my client's counterclaim.

Client hired me for an appeal after a default judgment had been entered against him when he had represented himself in the trial court in a suit brought by his neighbor over an alleged violation by my ... client of neighborhood restrictive covenants. We were able to have the portion of the trial court's judgment set aside which directed my client to pay the Plaintiff's attorney's fees.
