I hired Kristen after hearing about her excellent reputation for several years in professional circles. I have been nothing short of extremely satisfied with her work. There were a couple of hiccups in the process when creditors failed to meet their discharge obligations, and Kristen was swift and pr...oactive in getting them to comply. She went so far as to file a Motion to Comply on a state agency that would not release the obligation, and she was able to obtain a sizeable settlement from the agency for their behavior. Due to her excellent work on the original bankruptcy, I hired her for the additional matter of seeking a discharge of my student loan debt. I don't know how that will ultimately turn out, but I felt well-advised and confident knowing that she would work to obtain the best possible result. As a side note, her paralegal Jessica is an absolute joy to work with and makes the process feel as simple and streamlined as possible. When we first came to Kristen's office for professional advice concerning our financial situation, we were a little nervous and did not know what to expect. We were being sued by a credit card company and didn't know what to do about it. We provided Kristen with all of the information she requested... concerning our financial hardships, and without hesitation and with full assurance, she had an answer and a plan of action for us to take. Initially, there was a plan and effort to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, but we learned of some information that negatively effected the Chapter 7 and made a Chapter 13 more appropriate for us. This meant that Kristen had to make adjustments and invest more time in our case, and this is where she proved to be so resilient and committed to our best interest. Her communication was always prompt and thorough throughout the whole process. As the Chapter 13 moved forward, there was a lot of resistance from one of the creditors; they filed numerous objections against our filing of the Chapter 13, including where we filed it. Once again, we became a little nervous, but Kristen always spoke with such confidence and poise about overcoming this adversity, and she assured us that everything was going to work in our favor. Kristen's legal response to the objections was so knowledgeable and complete; it was amazing. We could tell she put a lot of time and effort into fighting for us and upholding the truth, of which we are so grateful. Kristen won for us over and over again. She made my first time ever appearing in court pleasant and something I could appreciate as she demonstrated great professionalism and savvy. We never thought we would ever file bankruptcy. We both worked and we were responsible bill payers. But, then my husband got hurt and filed for Social Security.
