Mr. Gillis is a very understanding lawyer. He did actually want I needed him to do. He is very knowledgeable and respectful of his client's wishes. I would definitely hire Mr. Gillis again to represent me.

I needed assistance with a legal form and advice on handling a conflict with an impatient creditor. Mr. Gillis was straightforward in his explanations and very helpful with the forms and processes I needed help with. I would readily recommend him to others who need legal help in northeastern NC.
"I found attorney Gillis to be very professional. His candor and knowledge of the law was very impressive and I highly recommend him and his services."
"Jason Gillis is an extraordinarily professional and knowledgeable attorney. When I have a question about the most practical or tactful way to approach a legal issue, Mr. Gillis is among the first people I consult with. He has roots in the community here and has a reputation for being a reliable advocate."
"I met Mr. Gillis through attorney friends and after five minutes with him I realized two things. First he knows the law, backwards and forwards, from statute to procedure. Second, he is passionate about his clients and advocates for them 100%. I endorse this lawyer."
"Jason is a great attorney in the area of family law. I'm currently representing an opposing party in a partition sale case and Jason is very reasonable and easy to deal with."
"At first glance, Mr. Gillis is a quiet guy from the outside appearance. But once you meet him you will realize that he is not only a great guy to talk to, but a veracious attorney with a brain like a sponge. My first encounter and exposure to Mr. Gillis was at a day long hearing in DSS court where Mr. Gillis came simply to watch and learn. As a second career professional, I know from experience that this is the sign of someone who is not going to sit and wait for something to come his way or someone to tell him how to do something. This is a sign of resourcefulness and passion that will make Mr. Gillis as good as a third year associate early on. Mr. Gillis spent a great deal of time picking my brain on local procedures, rules, and process in DSS cases that I have gained over more than two (2) years in DSS court as a GAL and/or Attorney Advocate. He is already very well liked in the community amongst other attorneys and he will do a great job for you."
