Rita Pearl Henry

I hired rita twice and lost twice. With the worst result possible. I read another review and felt like it was written by me. My exs lawyer rita appear to be a novice to the law. I specifically told her to subpoena a person vital to my case plenty times even called her to remind her. And she blew me... off. In the first case I hired her she I was be accused of assault which I had proof that I was a victim of assault by getting the background report of my ex to show had been convicted of assault on me. She failed getting the background report and when it bring it up in court she whispers we dont have the background so we cant say that. When I told her numerous times to get that report I paid her for. I went downtown and had to get it myself .Rita is a lazy lawyer and will not fight for you she will only do as much as she has to. We went to court oct 22 today is the dec26 and I havent heard from her since the day of court with the order. Have called her numerous times and I guess since im not handing her money she gas no time. To sum this up goin to court with rita is like going to jail with a greased up hole. Its sad for me to say this as much as I support black businesses but if you care anything about your family legal matter find someone who is willing to genuinly fight for you not just appear and collect money..Imagine only being able to see your child supervised you hire an atty to fight for you to get custody. The day of court she tells you. Hey I found a different facility to do supervised visits. Yea true story. Rita collected 1700 from me to tell me she can get something I already have for free. And thinks shes gonna collect another 300.lol.

Ms. Henry did a great job reviewing my case and providing me possible scenarios. I knew what to expect if things went well and if things did not. However, she did a great job fighting for me and I won! She was there the entire time, to respond to questions and give me guidance. I will definitely use ...Ms. Henry for any future legal issues.

Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about Ms. Henry. She represented me for a family law issue and showed little to no interest in helping me. She never returned phone calls (Even after months of no contact). She was even a no show for 2 scheduled meeting at her office. As my case progre...ssed, her limited knowledge was exposed. Compared to the attorney my ex had, Ms. Henry was very inexperienced and showed no confidence in front of the judge. Bottom line.....I would've achieved the same result if I represented myself. She did absolutely nothing for me. Save your money and do not hire this woman for any legal issue..let alone....a family law issue. I contemplated filing a complaint with the NC Bar....and still may do so.
