David Holm represented me two years ago during my divorce, his services were outstanding. Dave was very clea...r in describing how the process would play out, from the custody arrangement to the equitable distribution to the eventual signing and filing of the divorce papers, and very astute in outlining a strategy that would best insure a positive outcome for both me and my daughter. His advice and counsel was intelligent, reasonable, insightful, and honest. I have no doubt that, on more than one occasion, Dave provided advice that proved to be vital, advice that kept the eventual outcome on the right track and in my favor. First of all, let me tell you that my divorce process was very contentious and high conflict. I have three children and unfortunately, not a kind ex wife. We are both professionals (she is a mental health professional) that I thought would know better. I mention this because it is important to unders...tand that I was dealing with an ex that had knowledge of the legal system who is also very adept at manipulation. Unfortunately for me, I took the "white hat" approach based upon my personality and thought that our situation would have been easily handled through mediation. In fact, I did not start out with Dave Holm but had to hire him after firing my previous attorney for lack of responsiveness and overall feeling like my previous attorney could care less (not to mention AFTER I paid 10 K in retainer). I can't overstate how different my experience with Dave has been. He was ALWAYS responsive to my e-mails and questions. . . which frankly in my situation was weekly. Dave always provided me with solid counsel which was measured and thoughtful. My ex's attorney was pleasant but ultimately did not stand up to my ex at all (which led to frequent breaches of orders and weekly issues). . . but Dave worked with her when needed. He is not a bulldog type attorney and although there were times I thought I needed that, it worked out for the best because Dave remained calm, kind, and consistent. He ultimately matched my "white hat" philosophy which makes me feel good about the process ultimately because I firmly believe that "good" will ultimately conquer "evil." Both Dave and Lori his assistant made my contentious, high conflict divorce a lot more manageable. It was night and day versus the other attorney I hired (that firm rhymes with Rosen). I think he also sympathized with my financial situation and took active steps to reduce costs to me which I appreciate each time I look at my bank account and think about the high costs of my divorce. I almost wish I didn't still need him after the divorce (which we got done within a year to the day of the separation by the way, and I credit Dave with helping to do that given the extraordinary circumstances). . . but its nice to know that there are still some "good" people left. I am glad that I found Dave Holm and would recommend him in a heart beat.
