Matthew Russell Jackson

Matt Jackson is a dedicated North Carolina family law attorney who brings over 15 years of legal experience to the clients he serves. A proud graduate of UNC Wilmington with a B.A. in History, he went on to earn his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and passed the North Carolina Bar in 2008. He is a member of both the North Carolina Bar Association and the Wake County Bar Association.

His practice focuses exclusively on family law, including divorce, child custody, equitable distribution, alimony, and alienation of affection claims. Among his professional accomplishments is a notable victory in Bott v. Hipp, an alienation of affection case that resulted in a favorable $450,000 judgment for his client. He also dedicates time to pro bono casework, particularly for elderly or vulnerable individuals who may have difficulty navigating the family court system on their own.

A native of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, Matt is grounded in local values and community connection. He met his wife, Jen, during law school, and together they have three children. Outside of work, he’s a longtime Cubs fan, a proud supporter of the Carolina Panthers and Duke Blue Devils, and plays on his church softball team. His commitment to community, both inside and outside of the courtroom, is evident in everything he does—from legal advocacy to weekends with family.
