STELLAR LAWYER

I have worked with Amy for well over a year—nearly two. Amy has gone above and beyond expectations and has exceeded any standard I originally had regarding those expectations. Amy is well respected and highly talented in her craft. I have witnessed firsthand the type of presence she brings to the co...urtroom. If you are curious about the kind of presence, let me sum it up in three words: powerful, influential, and respected. Amy is highly professional and will take your concerns regarding family law on as her own. She will fight tooth and nail to prevail in your child's best interest and life. I have had the unfortunate opportunity to consult with many family law lawyers, and (I can not say this enough) Amy will outperform, outwork, and dedicate the most time to your case. I cannot recommend Amy enough to anyone searching for a dedicated family law lawyer.

Relocation case

A few weeks before moving out of state, I was served with papers for custody of my then 8 month old son (an arrangement my son’s father and I had both previously agreed to). We did not have a written custody agreement and the baby had stayed with me full time. I was unaware anything was being filed u...ntil I was served by the sheriff while I was at work (I’m a full time Pediatric emergency department RN). Once the shock factor wore off, panic set in. North Carolina was a state where I had no family and was by all means meant to be a temporary stay. Before meeting Amy, other lawyers refused to hear me out and told me to settle, as I was bound to lose in court. I refused to accept being trapped in a state where I had no connections and upon meeting Amy, I realized she wouldn’t let me either. From day one I felt supported and although she warned me any relocation case would be an “uphill battle” she never stopped fighting to reunite my son and I with our family in our home state. Amy is personable, professional, and has a good relationship with the court as well as other attorneys. Without her expertise, approach, knowledge of the law, and attention to detail, I truly believe I’d still be fighting for my rights to come home with my son. Amy and her team sorted through thousands of text messages and pictures to develop a portfolio for my defense. I’d 100% recommend Amy. She not only met my expectations as a lawyer, she exceeded them.

Divorce Client

No one ever thinks they are going to have to get divorced or hire an attorney for it, but if you find yourself needing legal advice about divorce, separation, or child custody/support, I can't imagine anyone better than Amy Britt. I think what I liked the most was that she truly asked and wanted wha...t was best for me and my kids - she wasn't just out for a win in court. She helped me mediate everything with minimal conflict, but she also stuck to her guns for things that were important to me and for my kids and fought tooth and nail for them. Divorce is an emotional process, and she understands that, too, and acknowledged and made room for the emotions that are necessarily part of the process. I 100% felt that she had my back, and it felt great to know that I could trust her to look out for my best interests legally. I was completely satisfied with the outcome of the divorce, the settlement, and custody. She is an outstanding lawyer who pays attention to details because she wants to make sure you are protected. I can't recommend her highly enough!

Amy Britt fought for my rights while keeping her ethics and not getting into the dirt.

She has helped me through the most difficult time of my life. My divorce proceedings were very complex and time consuming due to us having young children and my ex having mental health issues. We did not have everything go exactly the way we would have hoped, but I always appreciated Amy's dedication... to make sure that I understood what was going on and why. She did not want to fight dirty, which I truly appreciated. I did not want to sink to the oppositions level. I truly miss our conversations and I am so happy that I was referred to her by a friend. Her loyalty and desire to help me get through this awful time was above and beyond her call of duty. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Amazing Lawyer!

Amy represented me in a case last year and I couldn’t have asked for better representation. Not only did she go above and beyond, but I truly felt she had my best interest at heart, and it showed. Her advice is excellent and I will continue to use Amy in the future if needed.
