James Kevin Jackson

I chose to hire James "Jayme" Jackson after seeing him interact with the judge on behalf of his clients. I watched several attorney's before deciding who I would retain for my defense. I wanted someone who had great rapport with the judge and the DA. As some of you may know, it is crucial to find... an attorney who is liked, respected, and has good relationships with the various personal in the court system. These elements are important when bargaining and deals need to be made. After watching and speaking with multiple attorneys it was clear to me that James Jackson was the best man for the job....by a long shot. Upon our initial consultation I found Jayme to be extremely friendly, caring, and professional. He showed true sympathy for my situation while making me feel comfortable and relaxed in discussing the details of my case. His outlook was very positive but realistic. He didn't over promise on the possible outcomes yet remained optimistic. This was very important to me considering my previous attorney's were overly confident and underperformed. You will very quickly notice that Jayme is a man of integrity and truly has your best interests at heart. He was non-judgemental of my situation and I truly felt he was going to work his hardest for the best possible outcome. He very clearly laid out his strategy and what options were available, which was a very refreshing considering all the doubt and fear I had been feeling up to this point. Jayme even stated that he was willing to go to trial if needed which is something you rarely hear from criminal defense attorneys. Trial = More work. Plea bargains = quick buck for the attorney. After our consultation I felt confident and knew I was in good hands. Long story short. My court date was schedule the same day I met with Jayme. He let me know exactly what he was hoping to accomplish that day in court. I was expecting to have another court date scheduled only to find out that Jayme got the DA to dismiss my case! I was blown away! It was better then anything I could have expected at that point. Lastly, attorney's are notoriously expensive, this was not the case with Jayme. The price was more then fair, especially in comparison to what I have paid to my previous attorney's. I had no hesitations in paying his fee, especially after our consultation. I can't recommend Jayme enough. Although my experience with him was short and sweet, I am so impressed with him as a person and attorney. I only wish I would have found him sooner!

Mr Jackson was my lawyer for a dwi. Throughout the entire process he was very understanding and professional. I ended up not being convicted yet whatever the decision may have been I would have written the same review. During the trial you can tell he genuinely cares and is an expert! I got a DUI charge and Jayme was referred to me by the legal advising office at the NC State campus. He was just the right person. He was always easy to get in touch with and fully answered any questions I had. He was upfront about everything and made sure that I knew all the possible outcomes and ga...ve me great advice throughout the entire ordeal. Ultimately he got my case dismissed. It was the best possibility and I know it was because of his advice and his counsel. I highly recommend him!

I was arrested on a simple affray charge in September of 2014. New to the Raleigh area, a friend referred me to Jayme who agreed to represent me. As the process unfolded Jayme was very profess...ional, honest, compassionate, and available. All important qualities to a client when dealing with an unfortunate situation. Jayme responded to all of my calls and emails. I was extremely impressed with the way Jayme conducted himself as well as all of my interactions with those in his office. My case was immediately dismissed and furthermore expunged from my record. Money well spent in my opinion! If I ever run into a legal issue again, the first person I consult will be Jayme. I am so glad I chose to go with Jayme. I did not see any chance of getting out of my DWI, especially since I had a prior. However, due to Jayme's experience and knowledge he was able to get a dismissal. His knowledge was extensive in the court room and that showed during the battle of back and forth ...from the DA and Judge. He never gave up even when I would have turned my hat in. I would recommend him to my closest friends and family, but hopefully non of us will need him.
