Mr Duncan was highly professional and supportive. He was thorough in covering all of my options and the consequences of each. He and his staff helped me through a difficult time with their support. How many bankruptcy attorneys do you know who would recommend AGAINST filing for bankruptcy if it's not in your best interests? Because that's exactly what Damon Duncan did. He laid out all of my options, explained them in detail in a way I had no trouble understanding, then he went through and c...learly explained why he would or would not recommend each one. Ultimately, his recommendation was a course of action that didn't involve bankruptcy, and therefore made him no money. But he recommended what he thought would be best for me anyway. In addition to all that, his demeanor was more than I ever could have hoped for. I have some pretty significant social anxiety issues, especially in situations like meeting with a lawyer, but not once did it even cross my mind to feel judged, or like a failure (both of which are feelings that come far too easily for me). He was laid-back, personable, and so very kind. I am immensely grateful to him for that, and if I ever end up having to file for bankruptcy in the future, I already know exactly where I'll go!! :)

I did learn a lot from Mr. Duncan regarding my situation. My overall impression was very good. There were; however, 2 things I was not too happy about. One being having to drive to High Point for signing instead of the Winston-Salem office. The other was the fact that I evidently did not receive ...directions to where I needed to go for my creditors meeting, and was under the assumption it was to be in the W-S Court House, which it was not. Regardless, all in all he was great and I would definitely recommend him. I am very happy! Would also like to say the his office personnel is great. Jessica was absolutely fabulous.

Never have I felt more secure about a decision that had so much gravity for my future. The team worked diligently to get my bankruptcy done quickly and without incident. When in my creditors meeting, I saw lawyers/representatives that didn't appear to be helpful, almost as if they were on the banks s...ide for their clients. I knew from day one that Damon and his team were on my side and they were there every step of the way reassuring me and my decision. I was very nervous and ashamed of having to file for bankruptcy, but Damon and staff made it as painless as possible. In the end it really was as painless as Damon assured me it would be. I struggle with social anxiety issues that make unfamiliar situations, meeting new people, and especially new p...eople under such stressful conditions, absolutely unbearable. Damon and staff worked with me to make sure that I was comfortable with them and the process as we went along. Damon's Winston Salem office is small, low-key, and has a very comfortable atmosphere. My life partner attended every meeting with me at Damon's office and we were received warmly and respectfully every time. I only mention that because though we are in living in a modern society, not all people are treated equally in matters of diversity in these modern times. That was really important to me and I really appreciated it. Damon took into consideration everything I was concerned about with my filing, and gave me straight forward and honest answers. Everything he told me was accurate and happened just as he said it would be. Damon's office has put together many videos on YouTube that walks you through the bankruptcy process and answers pretty much every question I had. He even shows you the "courtroom", where you will stand, etc.., which really helped me out to have a visual since I was expecting a big dramatic southern courtroom for some reason. I highly recommend anyone on the fence about filing bankruptcy or unsure about Damon, to check his videos out. If I did have a question, Damon's staff was just a phone call or email away. They all treated me with respect and were truly willing to make this stressful process as painless as possible. I had contacted another highly rated lawyer listed on Avvo (who I will not name), but decided to look elsewhere because the other lawyer was arrogant and I felt did not have my best interests in mind. Damon told me that once I was finished with the bankruptcy that I would look back and realize that I was stressing over nothing. He was absolutely right, and wished I had filed earlier before I let my debt consume my life and effect my health. If you are reading this and can relate to my situation on any level; stop throwing your money away down a black hole that you will never get out of and give Damon's office a call. The amount of money it costs to file was just a fraction of what I was spending a month just to keep my head above water financially.
