Mr. Hayes was patient with me, answered all my questions. He was excellent, knowledgeable, thorough and gave me details about each scenario in my case. I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer or negotiator. I would recommend him to anyone and I will hire him if I ever need a lawyer, again.
In today's complex business environment, you need an attorney who is both pragmatic and visionary. Pragmatism saves you time and money. Vision gives you a greater sense of what’s possible for your business. In his representation of clients, Taylor strikes the right balance between pragmatism and vision. Offering clients an earnest demeanor and no-nonsense attitude, he takes it upon himself to understand not only your business goals but your industry as well. If it's important to you, it's important to Taylor.
Taylor’s diverse legal background provides a broad perspective and the ability to identify problems before they materialize. Taylor worked in immigration, foreclosure, and criminal defense among other areas. Taylor likes to practice “preventive lawyering” which means proactively avoiding problems rather than reacting to problems after they occur.
Originally from North Carolina, Taylor and his family came to South Dakota because of the state's emphasis on family. Taylor believes in public service and is a former Infantry Officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard, a former Deputy Public Defender for Minnehaha County, and is currently an officer in the South Dakota Air National Guard. He and his family are parishioners at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Sioux Falls.
Taylor earned his undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and law degree from the Campbell University School of Law. He is a member of the North Carolina and South Dakota Bars.
Taylor's hobbies include reading, writing, researching commercial and technological developments, and debate. When he’s not working, he and his family enjoy exploring America’s Heartland.
Taylor is also bilingual (Spanish) and uses his fluency to represent clients throughout the region.
