During this bankruptcy process, which I didn't have a clue about, Ms. Power explained everything right from the beginning and she gained my complete trust. She agreed to take our bankruptcy case, with additional fees for a complicated twist to our case. She assured us that it wouldn't be an issue, it just takes a little longer. After two months she started delegating responsibilities to me. After three months she started dodging calls. Five months af...ter giving her the retainer, I started contacting the office frequently, since we still hadn't been filed. At six months I messaged, demanding SHE return my call and give me answers as to why we were STILL not filed, since her paralegals were also avoiding calls and/or failing to return calls. The next day she emailed to terminate the agreement. She kept $300 from the retainer for "filing fees," and I was returned most, but not all, of my paperpwork. It was extremely inappropriate, as well, for her to state to my father-in-law (who paid for the service for us) that her reasonings included my "attitude." I'm not sure what she expected after sitting on the case for 6 months. The complicated twist that were were charged an extra grand for, by the way, took our new attorney less than a week to overcome, and he only charged an extra $300 to overcome said hurdle. If you're looking for an experienced and professional bankruptcy attorney, keep looking.
