Dana Sheppard Power

I initially saw Ms. Power back in 2017 to discuss my business bankruptcy. She advised me that most of my debt was personal, or if business, had been guaranteed by me. She advised me to file personally rather than corporately. I paid a retainer, and then kind of disappeared for a couple of years. ...When I went back to begin the actual proceedings in 2020, she still had all my paperwork and we were able to pick up where we left off. She has a large office, so even with Covid we were able to meet in person and social distance, while wearing masks, of course. I had my telephonic meeting with the trustee today and everything went very smoothly, thanks to her great preparation. I cannot recommend Ms. Power highly enough. She knows what she's doing and is very professional, but also kind and compassionate. I originally selected her because of her excellent reviews on AVVO, and I am very pleased that I did.

Nobody wants to go bankrupt, its a terrifying situation. Ms. Power set me at ease almost from the minute we met. She is so extremely knowledgeable about the process that she was able to tell me specifically what would happen and when, almost to the exact date. Plus, she's fast and extremely afford...able. I felt immediately that I was in good hands, that she had my best interests in mind, and that everything would be Ok. And it was.

I entered into a Chapter 13 by choice, even though I qualified for a chapter 7. Dana Power was supportive and, after reviewing my options with me, followed through with my decision. At no time was I made to feel judged or looked down upon. Any questions I had or issues that developed over the next fe...w years Dana and staff were always available in a timely fashion to handle a difficulty or instruct me in how to respond. I have strongly recommended Dana when asked if I knew of a good Bankruptcy attorney and would gladly do so again.

Dana was thorough, quick, and detailed enough to get our financial situation correct with the right recommendation about a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing. I'd recommend her services as a lawyer, but I'd rather not have to use her services again given. I hope that's understandable. She was prompt with... all her meetings and always prepared for the issue at hand. Any questions we had were answered, roughly, in 24 to 28 hours with accurate information by herself or her paralegal. Again, I would highly recommend hiring as a lawyer for your filings.
