If you want to pay to lose, hire him

Matt did not represent my interests. Although I was reassured throughout the case that I had a strong case of I win custody of my daughter, minutes before the hearing I was told I would lose and was pressured to agree to terms that went against what I wanted. Discovery was never completed, I was neve...r informed of documents that were submitted to the courts, and I did not feel supported at any stage of the process. When I changed lawyers, it took about two months for my file to be transferred and six months of weekly follow-ups before I received my refund, which came with a non-itemized invoice. Based on my experience, I would not recommend him to anyone seeking an attorney who will fully advocate for them in custody or criminal cases.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

My husband had the unfortunate experience of hiring this lawyer, and I would strongly advise anyone considering his services to look elsewhere. He promised my husband that he would get the case sent to Veterans Court, reassuring him multiple times that his driving license in our home state would not ...be affected. These were bold claims that ultimately proved to be nothing more than empty words. The communication throughout the entire process was abysmal. I had to call him and his office a dozen times just to get any sort of response. Emails were ignored, and when I did finally manage to get through, I received little to no helpful information. It became painfully clear that the case was not a priority for him. To make matters worse, he completely disregarded my husband’s medical paperwork, despite it being crucial for his case. My husband has multiple mental disorders one being depression we had paperwork from a duty station stating this, two weeks after the case was closed he got a diagnosis of ADHD, and a year later a PTSD diagnosis came through. But the paperwork we did have at the was totally ignored and my husband was forced into a plea when he literally was not in a state of mind to sign any paperwork and it was clear as day to anyone with eyes but this guys eyes were blinded with $$$$$$$$. This lack of attention to detail and blatant negligence cost my husband valuable time, caused unnecessary stress. In summary, this lawyer is a disgrace to the profession. His inability to follow through on promises, complete disregard for client needs, and utter lack of professionalism make him the worst legal experience I’ve ever had. If you have a mental disorder or are a veteran in need of legal help, please, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this individual. He should not be allowed to practice law or assist anyone in any capacity. I fortunately find myself employed with the Federal Legal system and I am learning about every avenue open to us to ensure we can right what wrongs were caused by him.

Does not return calls!!!

I’ve called him numerous times since July, it’s now September, and still NEVER received a callback. This is very very unprofessional!! I would never recommend wasting your time with a lawyer like this…very unacceptable! I do understand that lawyers get overwhelmed with their work load but that’s no... excuse…don’t take on cases your not equipped to handle them…I’m just saying…DO NOT HIRE!!!!!!

Caring Knowledgeable, and Hard-working Attorney
