I have many years of experience in representing businesses and individuals under Chapter 11. I also represent creditors and other parties in interest--such as asset purchasers--in Chapter 11 cases. Chapter 11 offers businesses and individuals an opportunity to reorganize their financial affairs. Chapter 11 may be used for individuals who are not eligible for Chapter 13 or require flexibility that is not available under Chapter 13. For Chapter 11 work, I charge an hourly rate.

I have many years of experience in representing individuals under Chapter 13. I also represent creditors in Chapter 13 cases. Chapter 13 may be used for purposes of curing mortgage arrearages, retaining assets that would be non-exempt under Chapter 7, paying taxes and other debts that would be non-dischargeable under Chapter 7, and controlling the sale of real estate that is listed for sale. For debtors, I typically handle cases for a flat fee.

Steve - Thanks for Everything

Steve, words cannot even begin to express our gratitude and appreciation to you and your staff (Anne) for helping us through such a difficult time in our life. When everything seemed to be at its absolute worse we somehow managed to find you. Our case was unique and complicated. But you put our minds... at ease which help to reduce the burdensome stress that was controlling our lives. You assured us that everything would be ok. Patiently answered all our questions provided my wife and I with realistic options. You kept us informed. Explained how the bankruptcy laws and process works. You gave us hope that all was not lost. Your professionalism, candor and attention to detail were outstanding. Your command of the law and experience really proved to be quite impressive. And in the end we were pleasantly surprised and grateful of the outcome. Steve Thank you so much for everything you did.

Steven Ramsdell - Chapter 7 bankruptcy

In a particularly difficult set of circumstances, Mr. Ramsdell provided an island of calm as he professionally helped me with a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. His attention to detail was outstanding. Specially of note is he took the time to listen. Mr. Ramsdell was able to anticipate everything the court wo...uld need and ask for. He made a personally difficult situation go as smoothly as possible as we worked through the process. I am grateful to Mr. Ramsdell for his outstanding legal services on my behalf. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Wonderful attorney

The decision to file for bankruptcy is very difficult, but Steve Ramsdell made the entire process as smooth as possible. He provided detailed advice on the options available for my specific situation and helped me decide what approach would offer the most benefit. He and his team were always very fr...iendly, available and helpful. I felt like they cared about me as a person, in addition to being invested in the outcome of the case. Steve was meticulous in preparing case documents and proactive in working with the Trustee. He also has a great reputation in the field and works well with the Trustee/Court to reach the best outcome.

Chapter 7 Representation

It's hard to express just how grateful we are for Mr. Ramsdell's services. We expected Chapter 7 would be extremely difficult, but with his mentoring and assistance we experienced a relatively painless process. We felt horrible about filing bankruptcy - he explained that the process was meant for p...eople like us and we were just exercising our rights under the law. He told us to take the high ground and to answer all questions and inquiries openly and honestly. From the initial consultation to the discharge, he was always there for us. He spent an incredible amount of time for the fee we paid. We had multiple consultations prior to filing and he represented us in court. He answered every question in a thorough and professional manner. From the beginning, he told us exactly what to expect and in almost every instance, things turned out the way he predicted. His staff was also excellent in processing our paperwork (two three-ring binders of documents). They followed-up on key issues and organized and condensed hundreds of documents into a concise presentation of our case. Because of his advice and assistance, we feel we got the best result possible. He also referred us to other professionals who could provide additional assistance (taxes, malpractice litigation, etc.). For all of the above reasons, we highly recommend Mr. Ramsdell. He is a consummate professional and we consider him a great attorney, advisor and friend.

Integrity, Attention to Detail and great customer experience

Steve was recommended to me by a family member. I was going through a divorce and problems at work. I met with Steve for initial consultation, during which time he thoroughly explains the process and helps you decided which path is best for your situation. He was able to quickly answer any questions ...I had with ease, showing his knowledge of his field. He also explain bankruptcy alternatives to be sure I realized bankruptcy was not the only option. At no point in any of our meetings did I feel pressured into making decisions I was not comfortable with. My situation was a little tricky as I had many areas to manage, a loss of job and a divorce; all of which Steve handled expertly and executed the necessary steps in time for everything to proceed smoothly. He also prepped me with possible questions that I may be asked before hand so I would be able to answer appropriately and accurately. I am very happy with the outcome of my case, and also happy that I had Steve to help me along the way. I would without hesitation recommend Steve to anybody who is thinking of, or planning to, file bankruptcy.

"Steve mentored me as I was a young bankruptcy attorney practicing in Virginia. In fact, it was at Steve's suggestion that I open my own practice when my wife and I decided to move to Texas. Without the invaluable experience I gained working with and for Steve, I do not believe I would have been in a position to do so. I value Steve's in-depth knowledge of all things bankruptcy and would recommend him to anyone."
