Extremely Helpful
Daniel Rosefelt was extremely helpful in resolving a significant tax issue that I experienced. I couldnโ€™t be more pleased with the expertise, guidance and outcome that I received by working with Daniel Rosefelt and his firm, and I would highly recommend them to anyone experiencing a tax related issue. Prior to contacting Daniel, I had corresponded with the IRS and provided them with documentation on my own with no success. Daniel and his team conducted thorough research in my case, by reviewing many of my documents, confirming key details, and requesting information from the IRS. Dan took the time to explain the situation to me from both a practical and tax code perspective and we discussed all of my options. He was patient, thorough and easy to work with. Once I had decided how to proceed, Daniel used his expertise to write a letter citing the specific tax code, and regulation that applied in my case and thoroughly outlining my argument and the facts of the situation. Just recently I received correspondence from the IRS saying that my issue was resolved to their satisfaction and they were no longer seeking any aditional payment. I couldnโ€™t be more satisfied with the outcome

Daniel Rosefelt Review
Mr. Rosefelt has represented me since January 2014 with very diffucult issues related to an IRS audit and FBAR implications that are still ongoing but soon coming to a close. Once he analyzed the specifics of both issues, he determined quickly that the IRS was just plain wrong in their assertions. He negotiated a settlement with the U.S. Treasury for approximately 25 percent of the FBAR penalty proposed. The audit issues were much more problematic, but due to his vast knowledge of the U.S. tax code and negotiation skills, he reached settlement with the IRS on the audit issues for approximately 17 percent of the propsed amount. Another issue that Mr. Rosefelt resolved was that of obtaining Innocent Spouse Relief for my spouse. Granted, it has taken over four years to reach these successes through no fault of Mr. Rosefelt, but the results have been worth the wait. There is one final issue to be settled with the IRS, but I fully expect that Mr. Rosefelt will resolve it to my complete satisfaction. Thank you.

This lawyer made my year!
I was worried all weekend about a possible tax issue. On Monday, I called Daniel Rosefelt hoping for a consultation right before his office was closing. At the time, I was only able to leave a message. Daniel took the time to call me back that evening rather than put me off for the next day. Daniel listened very carefully to the details of my situation and all my concerns. He meticulously explained back to me why I did not have a tax issue. I was not not charge a fee for his advice. In the future, I would not hesitate to go back to Daniel for any of my tax attorney needs.

Great experience.
Daniel Rosefelt has gone far above and beyond to ensure that my case was dealt with fairly. I have dealt with many attorneys over the years and this experience was unlike any other I have known. Even when my bankruptcy was discharged and issues came up, Daniel Rosefelt took a very personal interest in my case and continued to fight my fight when other attorneys would have left me without recourse. I can not recommend him highly enough. If you find yourself in need of a bankruptcy attorney in the D.C. area, you simply can not find better counsel.

Initial exploration into bankruptcy
I sent an online inquiry regarding scheduling an appointment. I received a return phone call before I closed out the page. I had some initial questions regarding a serious financial situation that I have incurred - considering bankruptcy and a future tax liability on the horizon, etc. Mr. Rosefelt spent over 20 minutes speaking with me and giving advice for my specific situation. I felt that he asked all the right questions to help direct me towards the right plan of action for my situation. It was very helpful and refreshing to have someone provide that level of information especially on a phone call to someone that is just inquiring for help. I have a lot more to consider now that we have spoken and there may be some other ways to work out my situation - but that I need to think clearly and carefully about any course of action that impacts my financial future. I initially have heard about the law firm from WTOP advertisements and I would highly recommend them. I wish more companies were as caring and helpful!

Very Impressed
After trying to battle the IRS for years on my own, I finally gave in and decided to consult a lawyer. I found Dan Rosefelt's firm online last evening and sent an email with my concerns. By noon today, I had already received an email from Mr. Rosefelt himself requesting that I call to discuss my situation further. So I did. He was available immediately. I didn't get the "he's in a meeting and will call you back at his earliest convenience" schpeal. After a very informative 15+-minute conversation with Mr. Rosefelt, not only did I learn an unspeakable amount of information about how the IRS works and what my (very simple) options are, but I felt so relieved. He presented me with options that I could try on my own, but also said that he would be available if I needed further help. I didn't feel pressured in any way whatsoever, to retain his services if I didn't feel it was necessary. How refreshing! I would absolutely recommend Mr. Rosefelt for anyone with tax issues!

Tax Deliquency Questions
I contacted Mr Rosefelt's firm after hearing their advertisements on radio. I have a tax deliquency and I requested a consultation. Mr. Rosefelt e-mailed me saying that my issue was relatively minor and advised me of the best actions for me to take by e-mail and didn't even have me come in or charge me a fee. I had some follow-up questions which he answered very quickly even though I had not officially hired him as my lawyer or to represent me.

Expertise, Professionalism and Compassion at the hightest level!
My husband and I came to Dan Rosefelt in the fall of 2011. We were financially in ruins as a result of the Great Recession. My husband lost his position and my income had taken a nosedive. We had our backs up against the wall and did not know which way to turn. As professionals. we did not know how to best resolve our situation. We used all of our assets to try to keep our heads above water. We needed an attorney that was an expert in his field of bankruptcy and tax law. We needed the expertise of an attorney that could give us a complete new start. Dan was able to help us. He was compassionate to our situation and respectful even when we felt so low. Dan expertly handled our bankruptcy and the entire process with expert competency. We knew that we were in good hands. We had a complicated case and Dan represented us at the bankruptcy hearing. We feel that it was ONLY because of Dan's experience and expertise that we were able to resolve our situation successfully. My husband and I felt that Dan was accessible at all times through this horrible time in our lives. He gave us hope and treated us with dignity. Dan was able to handle our case so that there was no impact on our careers. He continued to answer questions long after the case was closed. We trusted him completely with our lives and our futures during that difficult time. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is in need of an attorney that is trustworthy and highly successful in handling difficult cases. Our experience with Dan was the best and the outcome was the most positive that we could have hoped for. It has been two years since that awful time and we have moved on successfully. We have been able to restore our financial fitness to a high level. We would not have been able to accomplish this without the expertise and knowledge of Dan Rosefelt. He REALLY did care about us as people and in really showed in the outcome of our case.
