Sequitta Marilyn Leigh Banks

I hired Ms. Banks to represent me in a Child Custody and she showed zero interest, took the money and showed up not prepared. I ended up suing her and winning. She has yet to pay the judgement against her. It has been over a year and she still hasn't pay, will have to take her to court again. Sta...y clear away from her.

Ms. Banks did nothing for me. She didn't answer one of my emails as promised in the contract, and returned one phone call in a 6 month time frame. Without getting into my specific case, she filed my divorce, sent one letter, and that was it. After 6 months she turned my case over to a new partner who... had no time to review my case before court. I wasted my time and money. I was told that it didn't matter if the opposing side did not send in their answers until after 60 days was ok and the opposing side was able to file a legal document dismissing the tardiness. She became angry with me because I questioned this. After court, which I lost, she terminated the contract for insufficient evidence, but told me a different reason. I had to hire another attorney 10 days prior to another deadline, which I did. I think it was a blessing in disguise.

I was always concerned that my attorney would not truly "get" the circumstances and really understand where I was coming from. During the trial, when it was time for Sequitta to question my ex, she stood up and said "No questions your honor". I about fell off my chair in shock. Like... after all this- you are not going to grill him... I was beyond confused?? After the ruling (which was in my favor), we were walking out and I said- Why did you make that choice? She told me that through all of our conversations- she knew that the man that we were dealing with was a manipulator and she decided to not give him one extra opportunity to try and sway the Judge. This was genius to me. It was confirmed then and there that - Yes, she did truly understand. I hugged Mrs. Banks as we walked out and she seemed as genuinely excited as I was, for she knew the weight that this carried for me. If you watch Scandal then you will understand this- Sequitta Banks is DC's "real" Olivia Pope! If you don't watch- this just means that she is the one that you have been looking for!! :)

Mrs. Banks did everything for my divorce case. Mrs. Banks is not only an amazing attorney, she is also a sincere nice person. She paid close attention to every single detail. After my first time meeting her, I knew I could trust her. I appreciate how she puts up with my chattiness. I am very pleased ...with all the work she has done for me and my 2 children.
