I've consulted with Attorney Banks on a number of cases and have gotten nothing but the best service. Her consultations are thourough and informative. Ms. Banks' fees are very reasonable and despite being a highly sought af...ter attorney, she makes sure to stay on top of all cases and will always get back to you in a timely fashion. Not only is she very informed in family law, she makes it a point to listen to your circumstances and always provides the best advice according to the law. There aren't many attorneys who take a personal interest in their clients' cases. She's not only attentive, but passionate. That alone is what makes her an excellent attorney.

OMG where do I start......This lady goes above and beyond to get things done. She treats your case as if she was in your shoes. She always keeps you in the loop and is very organized. I went through a weird custody battle with my son's father and we had a great outcome. Mrs. Banks is definantly well ...worth every penny and she is extremely resonable. I have worked with multiple attorneys while trying to establish custody of my daughter and have her name legally changed. I was dealing with a Father who was in another state and over time the goal had become impossible. I was very disappointed and hopeless to say the least... until I met Mrs. Banks.... Our initial consult went very well. She listened, asked questions and within 30 minutes told me that she would help me get this done. I believe that most attorneys were resistant because of the work involved and the unfamiliar boundaries this would entail. Sequitta Banks was very different. She said that she had never dealt with a situation like this, but was not apprehensive about giving it a "Go". I knew when I hung up the phone that I had finally found the one that would see this through. Her energy, passion and commitment was evident during this call and stayed persistent throughout our work together. She was extremely responsive, never letting a day go by without responding to an email or a phone call. She kept me informed the entire time letting me know the progress being made on the back end. When we got together to prepare for the court date- It was very obvious that she did all necessary research on her end and was completely "ready". When we showed up to the hearing- Sequitta Banks brought her "A" game to say the least. I was always concerned that my attorney would not truly "get" the circumstances and really understand where I was coming from. During the trial, when it was time for Sequitta to question my ex, she stood up and said "No questions your honor". I about fell off my chair in shock. Like... after all this- you are not going to grill him... I was beyond confused?? After the ruling (which was in my favor), we were walking out and I said- Why did you make that choice? She told me that through all of our conversations- she knew that the man that we were dealing with was a manipulator and she decided to not give him one extra opportunity to try and sway the Judge. This was genius to me. It was confirmed then and there that - Yes, she did truly understand. I hugged Mrs. Banks as we walked out and she seemed as genuinely excited as I was, for she knew the weight that this carried for me. If you watch Scandal then you will understand this- Sequitta Banks is DC's "real" Olivia Pope! If you don't watch- this just means that she is the one that you have been looking for!! :)

The first time I met with Ms Banks, I thought she might not be tough enough for my case. She was very polite and sweet in the consult, took lots of notes and listened to me. Boy was I wrong. She was like a pit bull dealing with my ex huband who stole from our children and me. He was trying to get... out of paying me child support and support and she did not back down even when his attorney used my job against me (I have to work long hours now and taking care of 2 kids is hard). Ms Banks ran circles around that guy and I will be forever grateful. She is top notch.
