Patrice Meredith Clarke

Patrice Meredith Clarke is a partner at Iliff, Meredith, Wildberger & Brennan, P.C. Ms. Clarke focuses her practice on representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice litigation who have sustained injuries as a result of medical negligence.  Ms. Clarke also serves as defense counsel to attorneys in legal malpractice suits and coverage counsel in litigation involving insurance disputes.

Ms. Clarke is a cum laude graduate of the College of Charleston and a cum laude graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, she served as the Managing Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review, and was a member of the National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Team. Patrice was a law scholar in Federal Civil Procedure. She served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr., of the Court of Appeals of Maryland. Patrice was a Representative of, and then became the Secretary of, the University of Baltimore Student Bar Association.

After law school, Patrice served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Deborah S. Eyler of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.

Ms. Clarke is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Foundation, the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association.  Ms. Clarke is an active member of the Appellate Practice Committee of the Litigation Section of the Maryland State Bar Association.

Ms. Clarke is frequently invited to speak and write on a variety of legal topics.  She has written and lectured on various topics including administrative regulations under Maryland law, mental health records, and trial strategies.  Ms. Clarke has presented to the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland regarding "The Intersection of Medicine and the Law."  Ms. Clarke currently co-authors a recurring column in the Maryland Association for Justice's quarterly journal, Trial Reporter, called "Appellate Watch" and also currently serves as the Co-Editor in Chief of Trial Reporter.  

Ms. Clarke has received several professional awards including being named one of the Daily Record's "Twenty in their Twenties" and has been named a "Rising Star" in Super Lawyers magazine every year since 2016.     

Outside the office, Patrice enjoys running, boating, and spending time with her husband and children.
