Great Job With Estate Docs

Melissa did a wonderful job helping me create my will and other estate documents. Finished very quickly. She is very pleasant and helpful.

Melissa was absolutely outstanding.

Our family was in crisis mode with a sick parent moving into the area and in need of considerable care. Melissa did a remarkable job reviewing an assisted living facility contract. Redlining, adding language and going over each item in detail. The ED of the assisted living facility said - "You ...have a good lawyer!" She is more than just an amazing lawyer. She is a true advocate in the best sense of the word. She cares about you and your loved ones, and helping you navigate the legal and financial maze that is elder care. Truly she helped our family make the best decisions possible, an I am very grateful to have found her during a very difficult time. She helped bring perspective and understanding.

Great Estate Planning Lawyer

Ms. Wu helped my wife and I to finally complete our wills, health care POA's and medical directives. She is quite knowledgable about the law in this field and gave us guidance specific to our particular circumstances. Outside of the legal work, it was a pleasure to work with Ms. Wu. She was very acc...omidating to our hectic schedules.

A truly professional lawyer

Mellissa Wu was very professional in handling a case regarding the guardianship of my mother. She attended to the concerns and questions of my family regarding the case, and gave elaborate updates on the case throughout the duration.

Lawyer with Technical Expertise and a Heart

Having previously worked with another elder law attorney on this particular matter, we were relieved to find Melissa Wu. While technically brilliant, we didn't get from that first attorney the sense that our distress was important or that our concern was fully understood. By sharp contrast, Ms. Wu to...ok the case against the nursing home personally, as if it were her parents being attacked. And that's something I would think anyone would want, to feel that they're being represented by someone who is not only skillful but really on their side. There's a proverb which says the first to speak is always right, but their error is revealed in the cross examination. Ms. Wu acted swiftly, filing representation and gathering information and contacting the opposing attorney. She was ready to subpoena the nursing home's records, basically challenging them to support their claim. She went into battle in a way that wasn't ugly or unprofessional. I also appreciate her offer to meet with us at a place of convenience to us although we were willing to travel the 16 miles to her office. While she mentioned costs, she did it in such a way that we didn't feel pressured to start writing checks at that first (or even third) meeting. That too, conveyed the impression that her focus was on helping us find legal relief from a distressing situation. Lastly, she's just a nice, considerate person. SO very glad we found her!
