A graduate of the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary, Thomas Rock has extensive experience as a trial lawyer in Virginia. He began trying cases while still in law school at the James City County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted domestic violence cases. He then went on to work at the Loudoun County Public Defender’s Office where he defended hundreds of indigent clients accused of crimes ranging from simple assault to murder.

Upon leaving the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Rock established his law firm in Leesburg, Virginia. From the beginning, his goal has been to develop a firm that meets each of its client’s needs as individuals. In recognizing the unique problems that each of his clients face, Mr. Rock is able to work with them to identify and achieve the necessary solutions to those problems.

Mr. Rock devotes over 50% of his practice to criminal and traffic defense. He regularly appears in courts throughout Virginia on behalf of his clients. In his criminal defense practice, he has represented those accused of a wide variety of crimes including: assault, larceny, drug offenses, DUI and DWI, reckless driving, weapons offenses, violent felonies, bad checks, forgery and fraud. Mr. Rock also has extensive experience providing criminal defense to juveniles.

In addition to criminal defense, Mr. Rock has an active civil practice in which he represents individuals and businesses on a variety of matters including: contract disputes, landlord/tenant, collections, and family law. Mr. Rock was also a founding member of the Loudoun County Drug Court Program where he worked with representatives from various local agencies and the Loudoun County Circuit Court to help long time addicts overcome their addictions to drugs and alcohol. In addition, he is a member of the Loudoun County chapter of Beat the Odds, an organization that works to provide scholarships to high school students who have overcome adversity in their lives.

Mr. Rock is licensed to practice law in all courts in Virginia.

Saved My Life & Business
Tom absolutely saved me. HIs professionalism and care for his clients is unmatched. I was facing very serious charges and Tom got them dismissed. Our case started before COVID and it took 8 months to get it to finally go to court. He stuck by me the whole time and always kept his word. I am forever indebted to him.

SAVED MY LIFE
I don't even know where to start, when it comes to Tom. I adore him professionally and personally. I unfortunately learn the hard way, and I've made mistakes. Tom always saw past that, and never judged me. He took me on as a client when my last lawyer passed away, mid case. I loved my last lawyer, but Tom is a SHARK when it comes to the courtroom. He's unfortunately had to represent me a few times, but every time, I knew walking in with him would give me my best chance, and he has never let me down. There was one instance where the charging officer completely lied, and Tom called him out on it. There have been times I've walked away with all charges dismissed. He's always been prompt, professional, and reliable. I will always recommend him out when I find someone in need. He's represented some of my clients; he's actually representing a family member right now, and I know Tom will serve him well. If he does get busy, there's a reason, and you need to try again. He will always follow through for his client, and he will always get back to you. Having him as my lawyer gave me a chance to turn my life around, when I couldn't see a way out. Everyone makes mistakes, and he didn't let mine get the best of me. If you're reading this Tom, I will always feel indebted to you. Thank you for everything.

Dedicated lawyer and a very kind person
Mr. Rock is so compassionate and understanding. Navigating the legal system is very scary and he was very supportive throughout the long process. Mr. Rock knows the court process and legal community. He explained exactly what to expect at each hearing, fielded all my calls and patiently answered all my questions. Mr. Rock even called after a full day in court, on weekends and even on a holiday - his day never ends. It truly made a difference to have someone believe in the goodness of my son and understand a mother's fears. I hope you never need his expertise but if you do, I highly recommend Mr. Rock. He is so kind and sincerely cares about helping people.

The best lawyer in Virginia.. I’m not kidding.
Mr. Rock is by far the best lawyer I have ever hired. His ability to win in court and show incredible results is why I still hire him every time I find myself in any issues with the law. His compassion for his clients is by far the best quality of him. Mr. Rock will fight your case with every ounce of power he has and show you results. Coming from someone who has talked to many “lawyers,” they just want your $$ but Mr. Rock wants to help you and see you into a better future. Great Lawyer
Lawyer Rock represented me in a dui charge. He saw through the district attorney's games and took the case to trial. I was found not guilty. A lot of the lawyers I talked to before I hired him tried to b.s. me but he was the real deal. No b.s., just results.

Thomas Rock represented our daughter and literally saved her career. He promised he would do his best for us and in the end ALL CHARGES WERE DISMISSED!!!! If you need a lawyer, hire him. He's not like all of the other shady lawyers floating around out there. We talked to a bunch of lawyers before hiring him. All they cared about was getting our $$$. Not Tom, his approach was completely different. He made us feel like we were actual people and we mattered. And what made it even better was the fact that we won. I absolutely recommend this lawyer.
