Heather Scott Miller

Mrs. Miller is the newest addition to SSHW.  She attended Wesleyan College in Georgia where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in history and international relations.  Thereafter, she moved to Northern Virginia and began law school at American University.  Upon her graduation in 2010, Mrs. Miller began practicing law in the areas of family law and cirminal defense.  Over the past few years, family law has become Mrs. Miller's primary focus.  She has successfully litigated dozens of domestic cases in the fields of contested divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, close relative adoption, and asset distribution.

Mrs. Miller strives to bring calm to clients who are experiencing some of the most stressful and anxious periods of their lives.  It is her primary goal to assist the client in settling their case in a manner which is as pain free as possible under the circumstances.  However, in the event that settlement is not possible, Mrs. Miller is a tenacious advocate for her clients in the court room.

Outside of the office, Mrs. Miller enjoys spending free time with her husband, John, and her Welsh Terrier, Lady Mary. Mrs. Miller also volunteers with the Law Camp Committee and various projects through the Loudoun County Bar Association.
