While they could theoretically sue, the reality is that they won't. They send these letters out en masse hoping people will pay.

If the police were not contacted, then the chances of you being charged are nominal. The letter you will receive is what is called a "Civil Demand"...

You will need to travel to the Magistrate's office in the jurisdiction in which the warrant was issued and turn yourself in.
