My philosphy is that in order to get the best possible result for a client your opponent needs to know that you are ready and able to take a case to trial. An attorney who has a reputation for setteling cases will settle lots of cases with mediocre results but an attorney with a reputation of preparing and going to trial will also settle cases but with much better results.
