Scott Alan Cohen

I hired Mr. Cohen to get the job done and he did just that. The only downfall was the time it took to complete my divorce. To no faults of Scott of course. The courts are so backed up it took a while. The positive part was being able to contact Scott and he almost was always available to speak with... me. He kept me in the loop with everything that was going on in my case and that was one of the most important things to me. I do recommend Scott if communication is a big deal because he does make it a point to stay in contact and include his client.

I felt confident when I hired Mr. Cohen to help me with my case instead he did not want to listen to anything I needed to explain to him regarding my case he didn't take the time to listen as if it didn't matter what I needed to say regarding safety issues with the other party. I feel that he failed ...to communicate about my case in general, my rights in my case and actions I could have taken to prove my case etc. During the conference he told me not to tell the master something that was important for them (the judge) know allowing the other party to lie in court forcing me to agree to something I was clearly uncomfortable with (safety wise) agreeing to. After the conference, I tried reaching out to him about some concerning things that was occurring with the other party he later tells me he's no longer my lawyer and I need to pay him more money for further services from him (concluded representation) that I hired him for a hearing that had already taken place. He left me stunned and confused due to the fact that I had a conference and my hearing hasn't taken place yet. I just really felt he could have done more to help my situation and keep me and my children safe instead he took my money and he didn't listen nor helped my case in any way.

I was lucky enough to obtain Mr. Scott Cohen as my attorney regarding a custody issue I was having. This was a very difficult time for me both emotionally and financially. Mr. Cohen worked with me and treated me like a human, not a paycheck. There was never a time a call went unreturned or an email u...nanswered, and believe me, there were many. Being involved in any legal situation that focuses on your children comes with anxieties and stresses that are exhausting. Mr. Cohen was beyond patient with me and he showed genuine care and concern regarding my case. I truly believe that level of service does not come often enough these days. Although I am grateful for everything Mr. Cohen did for me, I am most appreciative of the fact I did not feel alone. I had no experience navigating the court systems and they are extremely complex and intimidating. I had no idea how to proceed with anything, how to respond to anything, I was completely lost. Then I reached out to Mr. Cohen and I finally felt solid and strong knowing that I had him on my side and in my corner. Scott Cohen will always be my first recommendation for anyone needing legal services but especially to those needing help regarding family court. Family law issues require an attorney with compassion and understanding, as well as legal expertise and Scott Cohen possesses all of these skills. 10/10

Scott has been with me the last few times I went to court for a custody and relocation hearing. I was not the easiest client (momma bear) and I did not submit memos on time (and this last time not at all) and Scott still Fought for me and WON! I fought him on things but his advice was right and it wa...s the reality check I needed to make a sound case for why I was opposing. He stayed calm, he remained in control of the narrative, he was informed and he even did spot on research during the hearing that held in court. I couldn’t of asked for a better representative and will always come to him first in the future. He was affordable, on-time for court and responsive. I had two different lawyers who showed me none of that an it made me as a single mom really appreciate finding Scott an him having my sons back. My sons Father tried to request primary physical custody - Scott shut it down. My sons Father asked to have my 5year old son become a frequent unaccompanied minor on 6 hour flights - Scott shut it down.
